Yes, I saw this two years ago and it was hilarious. It's unfortunate that DP sold out. I did some sleuthing a while back(I just looked up the company that made the video, as stated in the credits), and discovered what happened to him. Isn't that surprising? He's even a radio personality!

So does "sold out" just mean "used to be some sort of musician and now holds a different job" or what? Help me out here.

Actually it's sort of a joke because I'm assuming he always held that kind of position at that company. It's just that they used him to perform in their video?

Back in the day, no one cared. I remember getting Commander Keen copied for me alone with The Incredible Machine. No one really cared.

No one cares even today, hell there's even some software that encourages copying! (well, it existed at the time of the commercial too . . .)

I think I remember when you talked about that, Ailure. Did it work?

And I´ll wait withc watching that until I get to the dorm. The Boradband connection is way faster there.

I love how computer monitors acts like Television sets in movies and commercials and... whatever.

And heh, floppies are practically dead nowdays. Last time I used one was for trying some "OS on a floppy" thing.

I remember that campaign, sadly. :\

Didn't help me from exchanging floppies with some kids at school for much of my high school career.

Rofl!. I didn't notice that it was 20mb. It downloaded very fast, but i thought the quality of the video and the sound was better. It sounded like they were talking through a cushion or something . Well, now there are copy protections, but they have been proven useless by using a good burner/recording software. At least the better copy protection that i have seen are protection for PSX/Audio Cd's in which you can do a neat trick with clone CD by modifying the ccd file making the TOC say that the disc last less minutes than it was supposed to be. The thing is that that protection is homebrew, but much better than other protection methods i have seen.

Why "copy that floppy" when we could just as easily "copy that CD/DVD"

Oh snapp...

Yeah, don't copy that floppy, because warez sites and P2P networks can be much more convenient.

I didn't watch it. 20MB isn't worth wating on for a 9 min video.

Clearly you didn't grasp all the subtle nuances being communicated in the film. There was a lot more to it than that.

For example, there was a rapper with a funny hat.

Yea it really get's annoying if your forced to watch it multiple time's in a week.. I nearly died when he told us the other day that we were going to watch it because the little Tech 1's havnt seen it yet

Starts pretty funny, falling to mildly funny as it drags on and on. Interesting that it was apparently serious though.
