I think the first issue is to get the laptop fixed. Once you do that you can use it to burn a CD (though you may need an external USB CD burner) with the driver on it for your desktop. |

+New desktop computer
+3 1/2 floppy drive works -Laptop has a file corrupted --requires a Windows 2000 recovery disk -Internet modem not recognized -USB not recognized in the Desktop --Need to update NIC card --Requesting help/ideas. I contacted my ISP and they said they couldn't recognize the driver I was using (which is Western Digital). Since I cannot very well download anything larger than 1.4 megs I am stuck and confused. I have my hardware set up but my ISP cannot see my computer when they try to fix my connection. They said I needed to get my NIC card updated... |
