I'm 6'2. It's weird coming from a long history of short people. Seriously, don't worry about it too much. Genetics play a big role in heredetary feature, but nothing will ever be set in stone.

There was this girl at my school who graduated this past year who was 4'3, and this other guy who was 6'11. So yeah, like I said, don't worry about it.

yes, because that is really logical...If you were to "fuck up" your petuitary gland it wouldn't work. . .Thus, you woldn't grow at all, your hormones would be fucked up, and you would be a little crippled kid...Do you want this? I for one sure don't and this plain wouldn't work at all...any questions?

Xeo, just don't worry about height problems...Eveyone always tries to find something about themselves they don't like...

All you need to do is fuck up your pituitary gland.

I'm 16 and only 5'6" all of my friends are around 6'+ so yea, it is great "fun" hanging around them. The only real problem I think I have with my stature would be that, in a sense, I almost feel like the little kid of the group of friends I hang out with because of how much taller they are then me; however, the girls at my school's average height is probably around 5'1"-4'9"...

For the record, my dad is 5'5" my mom is 5'2" my brother is around 6'2". . .

I wouldn't exactly worry about height problems. Not everyone is made the same and thus not everyone can be over 6' tall, unless you want to do one of those insane surgeries...

I really don't mind, and I rarely think about the fact that my friends are a foot taller than me. (2 of my 3 best friends are over 6').

Ah, well. At least it's easy to hide.

That's like, exactly like me.

I dunno; weight is one thing; height is another. If anything, being short ensures your heart doesn't have to work as hard as if you were taller. That, and the problem of running over shorter people and knocking into low ceilings.

Although it is nice to be able to reach for the top of almost any shelf.

Growth stimulants can have some really negative side effects. Kind of dangeresque. Then again, if they were that dangerous I'm sure they wouldn't be readily available. Maybe. I took accutane when I was like 13 or 14 and it worked wonders, I haven't had a pimple since. I took it despite symptoms of increased suicide rates and clinical depression. So I don't know... most of the time symptoms don't occur. Kind of like Russian roulette. Whatever floats your boat.

Yeah, I went through about 300 acne products until they finally put me on accutane a few years ago. I wasn't effected by any of the negative side effects or anything, and it definitely eliminated my acne permanently.

Danielle: Yeah, I've read about the surgical stuff. Simply put, I will have nothing to do with that crap.

They're starting a new surgery craze that happened in the movie "Gattaca." You pretty much cut your legs in half at the shins, insert a metal rod about 4 inches long to go in between the bones, and get stitched up. 10 months later, you can walk again and you're 4 inches taller.

HOW DOES THAT SOUND!?

Seriously xeo, it's okay if you're 5'6. Don't worry about it so much

5'6" isn't short for a guy, considering most girls are on the shorter side.

I mean, that is the concern right? That's usually what it boils down to.

If it can make you feel better, my dad was 5'6" and my mom is 5'0", and yet I'm 6'1".

Even if your parents are short or something, you can still be okay.

What's wrong with being a little on the short side? Hell, the average size for white men is only like 5'10".

I've heard about some crazy leg-lengthening thing they did in ancient times, stretching the bones on the leg slowly over time, and it only ended up adding like, 10mm.

Stretching seems to be the best way to go, along with the only one that actually has real positive side effects.

I've been offered some growth supplement, but never actually went through with it. Kind of scared as to what else it could alter, honestly.

I'm 5'10" and 17, but I certainly wouldn't mind another big growth spurt. I grew like, 5 inches in three months over the summer after my Freshman year. That got a lot of strange looks when I came back, heh.

So yeah, maybe its just that thing inside all of us where we're never too pleased with something about ourselves, but I have never been too happy about my height. I'm around 5'6, at about 135lbs. I know this isn't really short, but its not much.

I'm 19. So, maybe there's still some hope. For the heck of it my grandparents used to measure us for our birthday's down in their basement. I've only had one major growth spurt, between 14-16 I believe. Don't males tend to have two big growth spurts? My mom's also always told me that "Doctors said you'd be about 6'0 when you're done growing". My mom is only 5'3, while my birth dad was somewhat short himself I guess. So I have no idea what to believe here.

I've been at this height, the same height probably since I was 17 or even 16. Since then I've probably just put on a few pounds here and there.

So sometimes I look into this, and stumble upon some weird sites with interesting stuff. 5 Ways To Grow Taller kind of caught my interest. Excercising isn't really a question, because that seems like something I'd obviously need to do. But, what about supplements, or Human growth hormone stimulators? (amino acids and stuff I guess, many sources state this is natural stuff and it wouldn't hurt at all to take stuff that increases the growth of these things). Has anyone here worked with any of this stuff? Does any of this stuff seem trusthworthy and believable?

#5 Human Growth Hormone Stimulators
Human growth hormone stimulators are amino acid combinations that naturally force the pituatary gland into making human growth hormone. This procedure is effective and much safer than expensive synthetic growth hormone. There are no negative side-effects since your body makes hgh naturally.

In particular, effective stimulators come in liquid form. Results take time and positive side-effects also occur. Usually, a decrease in fat deposits and increased metabolism, are the positive side-effects.

The problem with human growth hormone stimulators is that they are only effective on younger individuals below an average 28 years of age.

Pros: Grow taller, up to two inches. Take anywhere anytime. Decreased fat deposits. Increased metabolism.

Cons: Works on younger individuals mostly.

I don't know why I'm posting this I guess. Laugh if you will, or whatever. But its something that often bothers me. Just maybe someone here could give me some good tips, advice, recommendations or ... something.
