Hey Ponlo, watch it with the bumping. :x

A 23 day bump to say one line, which has already pretty much been stated, is pushing it quite a bit. >>

I've got the same problem.. I'm 6'0 and 130 lbs. I think its just high metabolism (For youre case and mine) I've got no hips tho. Any pants i wear sag to the extreme..I have NO upper body strength.. Muscle does weigh more than fat tho. You might want to consult a doctor (If someone hasnt already told you that....)

Yeesh. I'm like, the partial opposite. 6'3", Prolly' somewhere in the lower two-hundreds-higher one hundreds, though i've been recently LOSING weight with the way I eat. ...Somehow. But, anyway, I second Ziff's suggestion. Seriously.

i have the same problem, though not as severe. i am 5'11 and weigh 160 pounds through HARD training and extremely careful diet balancing. i have 6% body fat. it just takes some work. and if you were as strong as you say you are, well, muscle weighs more than fat. otherwise i would be around 130.

Can you suggest something healthy?

I've never been in this predicament, nor have I heard much about it, strangely enough.

I would suggest some of Cruel Justice's methods... Especially when it comes to planning things out. That's possibly the number one step to a goal such as this.

potatoe chips? no wait, celery, carrot cake, zucchini bread. See?! Loophole.

I thought having 6 small meals as opposed to 3 large ones kept your metabolism working all day therefore helping in weight LOSS? I'm not positive so if you're right, good advice, as well as starting off slowly on the weights, don't want to hurt anything.

-Eating so much at once will make your metabolism work harder.
--Reduce your meals (assuming you eat 3 big meals every day) into several small meals. Eat about every 2-3 hours.

-Avoid smoking, again it can boost your metabolism.

-Avoid spicy foods, sodas, chips and all the nasty junkfoods.

-Eat as many poultry and dairy products as you can.

-When exercising, keep in mind your body needs time to recover. Do 15 reps, take a 1-2 minute break, do 15 more reps. I'd start with a goal of 60 total reps of at least 3 different exercises. That's only 180 reps and it won't take very long to do them. DON'T overwork your body. You'll tire yourself, hurt your body and gain nothing.

-Increase your weight training every 3 weeks.

-Create a 6-week plan for yourself and check at the end of 6 weeks. Make sure you do a solid 42 days of work or you'll lose progress.

-Drink plenty of water!!! The nutrients cannot go from place to place without it. Drink at least 8 glasses a day.

-Get plenty of rest, 8 hours minimum.

-If you eat right before you go to sleep, you'll gain weight easier.

Hope that helps! Help NEVER starts with the letter "I".

Eat fish. If you want to put on weight it's the best protein to eat. If you really want to increase your weight don't take a supplement, take a look at your excercise and diet. If you work out what do you do, do you run more than five miles a day, do you only work out a few of your muscles with weights? Both of those will not help you gain weight. If you want to bulk up you need to do weight lifting/excercises for all of your body. I'm not going to explain every workout but find a book or ask someone that knows and start doing weight lifting (and include things other than just biceps and pecs, do forarms, back, abdomen, legs, triceps, shoulders, etc.). Also, if you do run a lot don't stop, but you need to moderate it because running is the easiet way to lose weight and if you keep up a lot of running it'll be really hard to gain weight. Also, diet wise, if you're trying to gain weight you really need to ramp up your diet. I remember when I was on the basketball team in HS I would come home and eat two steaks on some nights and I still dropped from 180-155lbs during the 6 months of the season. When the season ended and workouts cooled down a little bit I was able to start working out to gain weight and was able to get back up to 185 for the next season. Basically, what I'm saying is, if you're working out a lot you need to eat a lot, and I mean a lot to gain weight. I was eating easily 3500-4000 calories a day and still not gaining weight, so you're going to need to eat a lot (and not junk, you want healthy carbs, vegetables, fruits, and proteins (mostly fish and chicken, and a little red meat)) maybe around 4000 (I've heard some people say 5000, but that'll sometimes through your entire body into chaos if you up your calorie intake that much) calories a day. And don't take weight supplements, those are just going to screw you up more than you want.

And I guess from what I'm reading I'm the only non-skinny tall person in this thread, 6'5" 195lbs (though currently I'm trying to drop down to 175 by this time next year so that I can be in a lighter weight class for boxing, taking this year off because I'm studying abroad and working out was a little too difficult (costly, damn London being so expensive) to get around to). But yeah, I've hovered around 200lbs for the past two years, after dropping 35 pounds in the first two months of college two and a half years ago (it's amazing what happens to you when you have to actually pay for all the snacks and treats you eat (i.e., no more snaking during college because it cost too much, only drinking on the weekends as opposed to junk every day, all day))

115 lb at 5'8" isn't that bad. If you're already eating decent, and your body naturally stays at that weight, then it would probably be unhealthy to try to force the weight on by binging or something.

And just to add myself to the list of underweight tall people, I'm six feet even, and weigh 126 lb. But I really don't eat enough. My body got trained on not having a lot of food over the years, so now I rarely have much of an appetite. On the upside, it puts the muscles close to the surface, so I get to have a six-pack just from going to work every day. I guess it doesn't matter though, since I don't take off my shirt.

Heh, I am 6'5" (196cm, curse the imperial length measure system ) tall and only weigh like 150lbs... despite my nutrition being the single unhealthiest you can imagine (lots of coke, fridge pizzas and meat-based dishes) and me hardly ever doing anything other than sitting at the computer. I usually get more problems from being that tall (bumping head-first into door frames and stuff) than looking like a stickman though

I have the ability to stick my pinky and thumb around my wrist with room to spare, I've obviously had a problem with weight as well.

I'm about 5'10" and 125 pounds, but I've weighed 125 ever since I was 5'2". I think I've started losing some tone recently, which sucks... Should get back into some exercise. Problem is that it's winter, and that I have about a block worth of dead-end road until I hit a 50MPH road with people that like to drive in the shoulder... Guess I'm stuck inside for exercising.

If you're already skinny like that, chances are food isn't going to help at all.

Heh. I'm nearly an adult and weigh 115 and am 5'10". I look like a scarecrow. I've tried eating everything--that includes both bad and good fats--but that doesn't seem to work. I'll try gaining muscle mass next, but I really don't know how to solve this problem, sadly.

Eat stuff before going to bed.

But, exercising and stuff would probably help a lot more.

I don't know.
