I like how I got 1,337 yesterday.

(*I didn't even notice until Acmlm pointed it out0

I've actually been to forums where people would post entire movie scripts, hundreds if not thousands of pages, for no reason at all in the middle of a thread.

Lots of people actually have averages above 500, Ailure.

Could always have a system that works like that altered acs.php, expect that the charcthers is maxed out at a certain amount of charcthers.

500 maybe?

Personally I'd rather have a mix of content and post count instead of just post count (kind of like this but less biased against one huge post)...

Just removing quotes from it would be pretty hard, as well as the "content padding" problem...

Or they'll just, you know, keep making a whole lot of really small contentless posts until it overwhelms everything else the same way as before, anyway. Just look at how high Lakithunder ranked yesterday on this system.

I'd put my bets on quote abuse more than anything, as then it has the illusion of relevance as well as the added benefit of large character-counts.

No, they wouldn't do THAT... That would be too obvious

That doesn't make much sense, since it's essentially exactly the same.

Removing comments would actually be easier than removing quotes, ironically.

I propose an essay AGAINST Mushdoom's silly idea. Seriously, though, I like this new idea for the ACS. Now if only you could implement some anti-moronic post filters for this... Lakithunder would never get a point.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you enjoy doing things like this. Let me guess - this one is based around bytes wasted/total post size? Or what is it?

EDIT: I tested...it is indeed based around that.

Yes, it is, but the "normal" ACS will continue normally.

Peronally I'd ratther base it on some fomula like this and posts too (rewarding lots of content and not just lots of posts), but until I can reliably filter out [quote] it's a little biased against quoters (like me).

And like me. :p Still, it actually sounds smart, but why not have 2 diffrent ACSes? It sounds like a good idea.

Heh, you really like that new &__& tag you added, don't you?

Personally, I don't see how it's necessarily a great measure of anything statistically, unless you're checking to make sure people didn't spam or post overly short replies to anything.
