If I remember correctly insectduel released a patch here before he was banned that made all 15 SMB3 lost levels playable as they were in SMAS. He even fixed the backgrounds as they were in the headers.

Don't have any clue where you could get the patch though.

I'm having trouble getting the patch to work. Am suppose to use All stars, All stars+SMW? Is the patch only suppose to be 110 bytes?

Proto! Big thanks for this.
While the levels are even more screwed than in the original (look at some of the sprites, what happened to them?), but the great part is the gold cheep cheep is still there.

If ever an editor will come out for the SMAS, I think I will try to remake the better ones of these (definately the gold cheep-cheep level, the icy water level, the pipelevel with waterfalls, one of those green parabeetle levels and the short level that start above ground and continues on water... the rest is junk), and add them an own secret world.

Are all of the lost levels from SMB3 in SMAS too? I thought I recall some of them missing in SMAS, but maybe I just remember wrong.

They are in the SMAS version but nobody seems to have bothered to look for them all or make codes for them.

I made a patch a long time ago that replaces some of the levels in World 1 with a few of the lost levels (which are still in the game, this is not a level hack). You can get it here. It's been so long since I made this that I don't even remember how I did it! ;

You definitely said ROMs. I mean it's right there in your post.

Also. Beta test levels frequently aren't in the final game simply because they aren't up to par. there's nothing special about these.

Considering that SMAS is mostly just a qick rehashed port with updated graphics/music, it isn't hard to imagine.

I'm sure they're in there, but accessing them is another story...

I obviously talked about patches, or game genie codes or whatever to make some of those great hidden levels appear in a much better environment. So pls don't be hostile.

Anyway, I really don't understand why some of those levels are deleted from the final game. The scrolling underwater level with golden cheep cheeps looks very well done, and so the other icy level with moving platform. Other great one could have been the pipe level with waterfalls. The green para-beetles are also looked a decent addition. Too bad they removed them from the final version.

Hi there. I recently found some interesting unreleased stuff for SMB3. Actually there are 15 hidden levels (around 8 of these are really worthy with enemies, goals etc.) in the game.

My question: Can I access these levels in Super Mario All-stars? Or if not, are there any ROMs/patches that can access these stuff? I'm really interested in it since I prefer this version to the original NES one due to better visuals/sounds/saving.

Thanks.
