Yea I know that.

I'm thinking of getting a break from hacking this now. And do some other small tings....
Read some more help files.....
So yea.....I think I will let this hack die for now....
If some one want you can downloaded here. All that is left is WS.... and some parts are not to well done...
And don't mind to post glitches...

(ps); changed to better looking suit....

Sorry dude, I still disagree, those suits look like poo. why do people feel the need to chegne the default suit colors, and when they do, 99.99% of the time they are UGLY non matching colors? no offense, but you need to rethink all of your palette changes. no single wall should be one solid color hue.

Good point. But I (Want) to do a new suit. Oh well if I can't find a nice until this is done I go with the normal

I did not want to say this yet but......
This is my first hack and I realized soon after posting on this bord that this is not a good hack. But I still want is done before I start my next one. But if no one like it maybe i trash it?
And about the suits.

1. The suits you saw in the SS.
2. The in game suit: Poison. I know it look bad if you don't haw the "HQ2X" Button checked. But I usual play with it on and I did not think off that when I did it "And maradia "
3. And 4. The brown thing is what I haw for varia right now. And trust me i hate it too. But i can't find something good to haw for varia. This is some off my try's. Any idea is welcome.

About WS:
Well no I haven't done any ting except change the pallets. But I'm working on it right now.

I'm sorry, I really am, but this looks terrible. It's as if someone accidently tripped over a snes and the game started to glitch.

To me it actually looks like the colors need to be changed a bit more. The dark pieces need to be darker and the light pieces need to be a bit brighter. As each hue has 4 variations (ie- 4 yellows, 4 reds, iirc) then the other 2 shades of each color should be spaced evenly between the high and low colors. That's all. The same color, but different brightnesses . . . In these examples it looks like some of the yellows are yellow and some of them are green or grey. Just some minor tweaking.

I agree. While most of your TILE palettes are OUTSTANDING, you seem to have a different color for Samus' Power Suit for each area. I'd suggest NOT changing Samus' colors, okay? Well, not MUCH... Since grabbing the Varia puts those cool Spheres on Samus' shoulders, you could easily make the Varia Suit's colors be exactly the same as the Power suit's colors (like in Metroid Prime). Unfortunately, you went too far and changed ALL suit colors- Don't do that. See what you did to poor Samus?

Puke-Suit and Shit-suit? Those suit palettes just are.. eww..

Most screenshots, in that last post, are hard to even tell what's changed other than palettes. I think I noticed about one change. Kinda promising and not-so-promising if you ask me.

in all honesty, it looks the same as the original, just with new (still pretty ugly) palette

In any case if you're interested, let me know. As long as you'd have a use for it, I'll try to code it (as I'd have use for this too).

That would be nice.
But i don't think i need it at all. Thanks anyway.

Now i got some more SS:

WS:

Why do i never update the topic? Well I'm busy X-mas soon and i got school

I don't think that's quite possible, but something close could be. Not only that, but it *may* not be too hard to implement.

It looks cool... I might give this a look.

You say you want to make brinstar Ice... You could turn the plants into dark blue, to make them look like ice... (And the white and yellow suit looks exactly like what was supposed to be the varia suit in a hack I never started at all. XD)

For wrecked ship... Make it like it is frozen or something, and make crateria with snow and stuff...

I very much agree. Just looking at these screenshots I can already tell the experience would definitely change (for the better). I say the more "whacked out" the palettes, the more memorable the experience. I believe if you can give the impression of having changed level design by ONLY changing colors, that a "win."

Don't get me wrong though, there most certainly is a balance between wackiness and stupid, I just don't think Green-Kirby has quite crossed that fine line..yet.

Keep it up Green-Kirby, go all out!

OMG! Mother Brain + LSD = ?!?!

I'm sorry. I just really can't get into these palletes. Many are very unattractive, and a couple are downright eyesore.

Just a suggestion to make it look more like a mine and to help fit your ice theme. It can easily slide near Norfair, though, since Norfair is supposed to be deadly hot. By the way, if you find a way to change the palette an area uses on a screen-to-screen basis, you should maybe change Brinstar to look more like the normal Brinstar the closer you get to Norfair. That is, assuming you're putting the Norfair elevator in Brinstar...

1. Crystal? maybe.....
2. Normal ground. no i don't like that.
3. Screen-to-screen. No i can't do that.
4. Elevator are on the same places.....I did not know you could change door's and elevators when i started this hack. So it wont be any changes like that. Sorry :/

5. I was bored editing Maradia. So i started to edit Tourian a bit:

New metroid.

New super metroid. (still not done)
[Edit]: Removed Mother brain pic.
She look ugly.
But i need to work some more on her....

That's all.... I'm going off this week end. But please test it and leave feed back.
Also any idea on the color on norfair and lower norfair and WS. (or any idea)
Post here.

But harder then normal super metroid. =)

For the norfair. I'm not sure. I could change the pallets.....But not the lava. ;/

Any way if you want to test/quote]
Oh, that's MUCH better. NOW it looks sort of like a mine. If you can, find a way to change the Brinstar tiles and change the vines into something more mine-ish, like... Phazon. Well, maybe not Phazon. But since you're going with an ice theme, why not change the vines tiles to something more crystalline? Make it a crystal wall, or just replace it with the normal ground you're using. Just a suggestion to make it look more like a mine and to help fit your ice theme. Plants generally don't grow in ice at all (or cold temperatures for that matter, except the evergreen trees), so I don't see the point in having plants in an ice theme, or even in a mine, for that matter.

It's definately better, however I would advise taking screenshots with the filter off. Because I for one never use it, and as such would like to know what your hack looks like with a standard render. Just a bit of advice, other than that just keep improving those pallettes.
