I am sweetfreek, and I am requesting approval mainly for the sake of the Zelda-related threads.

I have been reading the posts here for a couple of months now, and I've found to them to be valueable sources of advice for a variety of aspects of modifying Zelda: A Link to the Past.

I've been experimenting a bit for a while, mostly using Hyrule Magic for practice. I do not claim to be greatly experienced, but I do learn quickly.

My knowledge of programming is mostly related to VB6, VB.Net, QBasic, C++ (still learning this), but I do have some experience in Assembly/Hex albeit not for SNES coding. I intend to learn this skill soon.

My past experience is mostly Zelda: A Link to the Past, but I have also tinkered some with Super Smash TV and Legend of the Mystical Ninja. I have never really messed with any of the Mario games before even though I am a fan, but I have on occasion considered hacking one to see what I can do with it... I'm hoping to one day get the time and proper resources for doing something with them.

As for what I can contribute... I mostly test various hypotheses about the way a particular aspect of game works when surrounding elements are altered. While not usually ground-breaking stuff, I have found that subtle and innocuous details can often be useful for any number of future matters.

Thank you for hearing my request. I hope to soon join your boards, and I promise not to bog anyone down with tons of useless data or any other crap.

Thank you.
Sincerely, sweetfreek
