There are sites outthere that give descriptions to old HD's and hardware. I do not remember the site's name but when I typed in some identifying information about the drive, I got jumper descriptions. So, if there is any type of ID on that HD, you may able to find information on it via google to get a description of the jumpers.

Yeah it seems to work great. I got some HDDs too but there are like... a million jumpers or something. What does all of them do? TP TO BUS, TP FROM DRIVE, RESERVED, PARITY DISABLE, WRITE PROTECT, MOTOR START ENABLE, DELAY MTR START. TERM ENABLE. Write protect is pretty self-explainary but the others?

make sure you have nothing that can conflict with it... is it internal? windows should be able to install it with no problems

Not only did I buy a Nintendo 8-bit but I also bought a SCSI cable so I can finally make my SyQuest drive work. Anyone got any experience with SCSI devices? Perhaps some tips for people who are not so familiar with it?
