When eating a meal, I never take a few bites of one thing then move on to something else. I always eat one type of food at a time -- for example, if I had a plate with turkey, mashed potatos, and peas on it, I would eat all the peas first, then eat all the turkey, then all the potatos.

I refuse to take headache medicine, unless my head is really splitting. I don't like the idea of taking painkillers when it isn't strictly necessary.

A dislike for wasting any food, whatsoever. I'll eat stuff I hate just so it doesn't get thrown out.
Unless I really don’t like it, or it’s spoiled or something.

When I start thinking, I have to walk. And not just pacing walk, I mean from one end of the house to the other.

I usually just stand there and keep asking questions about how to do it, or try to do it, but keep coming back and asking questions about each step involved.

Sometimes I purposly pinch myself on my arms because the slight pain feels so good.
I don’t do that, but a very long time ago I started the habit of pinching my finger tips… a few years later I realized that the reason I had calluses on my fingers was probably because of this, so I tried to stop, and they went away, but sometimes I still catch myself doing that.

I sometimes find it hard to sleep when there’s light/sound, but not all the time…

The skin on my lips is almost always severely chapped and will peel off when it gets wet, like when I eat something, therefore I will often try to tear-off the skin, sometimes causing it to bleed.

A lot of people enjoy white noise, and bright lights bug me too. I had to put electrical tape over the light on my joypad (why there's a light on it I don't know) because it'd light up the whole room and keep me awake.

- When eating, I lick my lips after just about every bite. This is something I've been doing since I was a kid, before I even knew it. I don't even realize I do this 99% of the time, but growing up my parents have told me and sometimes my friends have joked about it. I dunno, I can't stop it?

- Putting the bottom of my tongue at the top of my mouth, I can snap it down making a very loud clapping sound. But its -very- loud, as loud as real claps basically.

- I talk to myself sometimes when I'm driving. Usually to make a remark at how stupid people are driving around me, or when someone does something stupid on the road. Yep, I'm angry and cursing at the people while being alone in my car!

My ultimate sleeping complications!
- Must have a fan of some sort going. Extra bonus if the fan is pointed towards me so I feel the air. Its for the sound though, if this fails a computer will do nicely.
- No light coming from cracks of the doors. I almost always put clothes at the bottom of my door when I go to bed, to block all the light coming through. I don't mind lights coming from consoles, or stuff like that but a whole line of light at the ground bothers me.
- Extra weight should be around the area where my feet will be. Usually I have a few blankets here or some piles of clothes.

Yeah, that's how I sleep.

I used to pick my nails a lot. But I stopped doing that a few years ago.

Yes. Also I just remembered two more:
-I don't bite my nails out of boredom, but I cannot stand to trim them using anything other than my teeth. Nail clippers just feel so unnatural and I can't easily do it with scissors. When they get too long I clean out the crud under them, wash my hands, and just chew them right off. Of course with toenails, I remove them with my fingers, digging in until I can rip off the excess.
-Instead of greeting somebody, I tend to just look them in the eye, close my eyes and lower my head slightly. I started doing this to my cat since animals do it as a sign of respect, and I never stopped. When I do it to cats I also tend to make a short humming noise. For some reason if a cat is in the room I tend to do it every 5 minutes to 30 seconds.

Pac, you sound like you have Asperger's or something. I should know...

It gets worse when you consider that one of those times, my room was nearing 100°F (37.78°C).

Only 37? I've had 45°C, and still had to sleep with a bed sheet.

45C? I don't see how that's possible, as I don't think it even gets that hot here mid-summer...

30-35°C outside + upstairs room with windows facing parallel to the river (meaning pretty much no wind gets in) + sunroom attatched to it (the walls in there can reach 55°C) + two big fucking CRT monitors, computer, and other electronics generating heat + big TV in the room below me generating more heat.

When i sit down, i can't help but rock on it like a rocking chair. It's causing the chairs to get damaged

I like to kiss my cats. I know, wierd. (not furry!)

I don't really mind the cold all that much. It's relaxing.

I tend to fall half-asleep in the shower.

For some reason, sore muscles actually feel sort of nice.

that's all i can think of... :p

-Sometimes I purposly pinch myself on my arms because the slight pain feels so good.
-I grind my teeth, pop my jaw and crack my fingers when I'm board.
-Sometimes I'll eat small pieces of my cheeks.
-I get really irritated by popcorn kernels.
-I'll laugh at the most inopportune time and I pretend to have a problem with my sinuses to keep people from thinking I am laughing at them.
-I get annoyed when people walk SE or SW of me and turn the same way I do.
-I fear tripping and making myself look like an idiot.
-When I go to urinals, I pee as far away from other guys as I can. Otherwise I look for another restroom.
-I'll play with a pen and see how fast I can twirl it with four fingers.

I tend to become clumsy in a funny way when I think about different things than what I am doing at the moment (which is 99% of the time).

When idle, I start humming or whistling random melodies.
There's more interesting stuff to look at than people's face.

I remember how people tried to make me look at people when I talk with them.

Sometimes I have to mreow IRL, but I only do this when alone really. :/ Also I'm really clumsy, and sometimes I grab a object move it around for no reason while daydreaming put it somewhere then have no idea where I put it. XD

Hmm..

-I need to have all lights off at night while I sleep and while I am using the computer. No lamps, no night light on, just the light from the PC monitor/TV

-Nail biting, constant.

-I chew gum everytime I leave my house for more than five minutes.

-I need to listen to music everyday. I also listen to music before I go to bed. Always.

-Constant day dreaming. Every day about all sorts of things. Be it a movie plot of my own creation or just a situation that happened and such.

-Follow up quirk to the one above. I anayzle situations to the point that it drives me insane. I think of what happened, what should've happened, what could've happened, and why and how these situations ocurred or could've ocurred. I tend to overthink myself into confusion. I also try to think ten steps ahead of myself.

-Before I go to bed I need to check the front door is locked, the fridge door is closed and the faucet in the bathroom is closed. I can't go to bed if I don't check. I sometimes end up checking them two times or three times before heading to bed. Hell, sometimes, I check them, lay down, then five minutes later I realize that I don't remember if I closed the doors/faucet.

-I dislike having people sitting behind me. I also can't stand being in the first chair in a row.

-I need to sleep with a blanket or comforter on top of me. Always. Even if it is hot.

-During 98% of my face to face conversations, I am not able to keep eye contact. My eyes wander in a speed, solely depending the comfort level I am in. If I am uncomfortable, my eyes will not keep still more than 3 seconds on one spot. This has lead me to realize that during a conversation, my eyes, on their own accord just wander and without me noticing, I find out I am starving at a woman's breast. Not fun when you get paranoid that the woman may have noticed this.

Hmm. If I think of more, I'll post them later.

Also, some of the things I listed may not be 'quirks' so if they aren't just don't mind them.

A tendency towards overacting, melodramatic "anger" when annoyed. Just imagine I'm trying to channel the character Zim and you'd about have it -- generally people think I've really flipped though.

I like to play with scissors underneath my fingernails, or on top of. I like to clean under the nail, and push around the cuticle.

Excessive itching, but this is a bit of an eczema thing too.

I am always drumming on a surface with my fingers. Usually Astro Zombies by the Misfits, or Back in Black by AC/DC.

I skip two steps when running up stairs.

A habit I want to break is putting my computer on standby whenever I leave it, because I usually come back a few minutes later.

When talking to friends, I usually take what they say and make it about their mom e.g, "I went to the game last weekend", then I say "Your mom went to the game last weekend".

If someone doesn't tell me how to do something precisely, even if it's just common sense, I won't do it.

I have a dream, then I don't remember it. That day in school during study hall, I start drawing stuff, then it makes me remember the dream.

I check my Myspace at least once every 5 minutes.

I'm also extremely good at this -- my mom will come in, tell me to do something (or to get up, whatever), I'll sit up and confirm it (usually by going "uh-huh"), and then fall asleep again... but I won't remember anything! It's happened at least 4 times now, and each time it's usually something really important. (I even tried to work around it by telling her to make sure I got OUT OF BED, and she still just kind of went "are you awake?" and I responded yes, even though I wasn't... I slept in too late again)

I'm a clutz.

I daydream a lot about random, unimportant things. Sometimes I even create events to daydream about.

I have to sleep with a fan on, even if it's the middle of winter. Not necessarily because I'm hot, but because any other noises keep me from sleeping.

I can listen to the same song all day long and I don't get tired of it.

In class, I always twirl my pen/pencil around in my fingers. Always. If I don't, then I can't focus on the lesson and get distracted looking outside or something like that.

I also chew on my fingernails and play around with them in my mouth.

If I see any piece of skin sticking out of my fingers, I bite it off and swallow it.

-The fan thing is more a necessity than a quirk, considering the extremely high temperatures we get here in Puerto Rico, but...

-The TV actually puts me to sleep. Now that it's broken, I fall asleep drawing random stuff or reading the calculus section of a math book I have and attempting to solve huge equations. Math-head

-I like to doodle weird symbols and shapes on my notebooks and school chairs.

-I am very fidgety and pretend to make weird shapes with my hands-- especially bikes, mechs, and tanks.

-I remix game songs in my head and hum them in the bathroom. I forget them roughly two hours later.

If I try to do perfect something, I bite a little part of my lip until I give up. Usually when that happens, the chewed part is bleeding.

If my brother's PS2 is still on, or the cat is outside, then I won't be able to sleep. No matter if I have my eyes closed for an hour.

I always avoid saying any swear words. When I want to say "fuck", I always replace it with "fark". The other ones I completely avoid except for "crap" and "damn" as I use them.

I think that's it.

For example (I work at an ice cream store), "Is this ice cream?" or "do you have vanilla?" or the most annoying, "how much is a regular size?" NOT LIKE THE PRICES ARE RIGHT THERE ON THE WALL. Having to answer those questions multiple times a day, every day... really gets under my skin.

I'm pretty sure that's normal.

Well it doesn't seem to bother anyone else at work.

Another odd one I just remembered: while I was up in Alaska visiting Melv, we had a very strange tendancy to say the same thing at the same time. (it happened at least 4-5 times, too)

think out loud
say the opposite of what I meant to say (i.e. i tell someone to turn right when they really need to turn left)
omit keywords words in my sentences
