I made a layout I think I'm happy with.

Sneak Preview in sticky thread. But I won't use it till next year.

I'm quite happy with that one, despite some hackiness I did. Oh well.

EDIT: ahh, it seems to do weird things in IE and Safari, but is fine in Firefox and Opera.... ??

The only times I'm not bored is when I'm at school, with friends, etc.

This has been happening since about September 2005. I feel that this time and age is the most boring ever; others might, but I'd rather be dead right now than to live and breathe for another moment. It may sound like I'm suicidal, but I'm not. I just can't stand being bored, and I don't know how to fix that at the moment.

On topic, I guess I haven't really been happy today. Anyone know how to fix that?

Random bouts of depression, sometimes to extreme levels? Happened to me a few times during puberty, just one of those weird things that happens.

BTW, here's the scans of that CD. Since the images total 882KB I'll just post links.

This is an attachment that was stuck to the spine of the case (left - it's a 3-disc set) and a slip of paper inside (right). You can see it warns of copy protection (at least these people warn you ) but all I can read of it is "this CD is copy-controlled". The Google translation of their website suggests that the disc is supposed to include some sort of program that would play the music instead of your normal player, but all I see when I open it is a few .cda files that play fine in Winamp. I had no trouble ripping the three discs using Exact Audio Copy, so if there is some form of copy protection it's the worst I've ever seen.
Indeed, there is a ring around the edge of the data side of the disc which would suggest a second session/partition with software on it, but even the Windows disk manager shows only an Audio CD session.

This is one of the discs itself. At first I thought maybe they just included this info as a scare tactic, or it was a disclaimer that the discs may be protected, but it clearly says "copy control CD" at the bottom of each disc.

Finally, this is the back of the case. It seems to have some sort of compatibility list at the bottom, but I can't tell just what it means.

So I can't help but wonder if their "protection" is broken, my computer is just ignoring it for whatever reason, or there really isn't any.

The fact that this Cold-Eeze seems to be making my cold humble, like in old country. Three days and I'm at the "mostly coughing" phase, which usually takes about a week, week and a half.

..........this new layout!

And its funny, I've been in a good mood all week long..which is very odd since I've been working mad crazy as of late. Even the people at work are wondering what the hell happened.

So I guess nobody's happy anymore. Well I just got this so I'm quite happy. Unfortunately it seems my CD player has some crud on the lens and the so-called cleaner only made it worse, but I have a computer that can do the job. Supposedly these discs have some sort of DRM that would prevent you from playing them on a PC using anything except their included software, but if that's true, it sure as hell fails because Windows only sees a plain old audio CD with nothing but music on it and Winamp is playing it fine. There's an included sheet about it (they certainly warn you well, unlike the web site) but it's all in Japanese. I might just scan it later.

some of the code I've been trying to get to work since last night compiled perfectly.

also, I plan to finally get 768k Cable Broadband in about 2 months (if nothing bad happens financially) when my AOL trial runs out. Can't wait to do some Quake 4 fragging.

Macaroni and Cheese, with Chicken.

I had a good dinner today, and didn't have to work. Also beat Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. So I guess that all makes me happy, despite the fact I've been kind of sick the last few days.

Yep, I remember being pretty pleased when I got a new computer that could FINALLY run F-Zero X at full speed.

Also I got a ride home from work today, that was a bonus.

Got up at 8AM, went to work. It was cold but the neighbour gave me a ride in his smart car which is a surprisingly neat vehicle. Got there early so we headed to Tim Horton's and he bought me a drink. Got back and found out I'd written down my schedule wrong and actually had the day off.

Now you'd think I'd be pissed off getting up early to go to work in the cold when I didn't need to, but I like to look on the bright side in cases like this. I got to meet the neighbour for once, I got a free hot chocolate, I got some excersize walking home, and for once I was up before noon on a day off.

Also I had bacon and eggs for breakfast and Chinese food for dinner, and finally finished rewriting my customized homepage in PHP.
