It's not a memory leak, if it were then changing settings wouldn't do a thing.

Thats not the only memory leak though..

Yeah Firefox has a few memory leaks but it's not a bad browser.

Yeah, torrents will kill your bandwidth quite painfully.

Yeah, I've got a gig myself.

Good to know this is normal though. I was afraid my computer caught something bad or whatever.

Its probably just my constant torrents that are making my net a little slower lately, obviously. So I really need to get this POS computer next to my laptop hooked up to the net so it can be my all purpose downloader computer!

Memory leakage has pretty much been the biggest problem with Firefox since its release. I've seen it get up to 200MB after a few hours ever since I started using it. Not a lot you can do except restart it every couple hours. It doesn't seem to go above 200MB so if you have a lot of RAM you may not even notice.

Lately I've been seeing some huge numbers ... right now I'm looking at 130,000.

That seems a bit overdone, and yeah. Just wondering what's the normal for you guys who use Firefox?

I also switched to 2.0 recently, but I noticed this was happening while I used previous versions. I've only noticed this the last two weeks or so though.
