I played Elite Beat Agents again at a game retailer, got to some harder songs...and failed them. Although I only played about...erm...2-3 days maybe, I can't pass the 5-6 stars on Crusin'. Any tips?

It only occurs to me now that I have not yet mentioned that I achieved the highest rank... How odd.

I tried out Elite Beat Agents at a game retailer and it was fun. You can say addicting, even. I don't mind any of the songs, the events on the top screen amuses me and makes me wonder what is going to happen next. I must practice and master that game!!

Less than 15 million points left until the final rank is mine

Here is a list of songs I have not yet S-Ranked on Hard ROCK!
  • Rock This Town
  • A-B-C
  • Survivor
That is all. (I have As in them all, btw)

The game is quite simply what the DS was made for- a supremely engrossing game that is still just as playable for those two minute breaks that are hard to fill (with a game system, anyway ). The long intro to Ready! Steady! Go! is highly iritating when playing on harder settings, though. You frequently find yourself returning to the beginning and faced with a lengthly intro that cannot be skipped, which wastes a lot of time that could be spent playing. This is annoying when you're trying to fill just ten minutes of time- I find myself playing tracks I can easily complete instead. Ah well.
Elite Beat Agents is far better than Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!. Among other things, you can skip right to countdown to the first action sequence. Which is nice, because both songs in the "No More Music? The Last Hope!!" (Without a Fight and Jumpin' Jack Flash) have very long intros, too. there's also more songs overall, a better VS mode, saveable replay videos you can play back at any time, and you can view more information at the en of each level.

I would get Elite Beat Agents if it did not have all those modern pop songs in it. If they had a nice collection of cheesy 80s songs+glam and heavy metal, I think I would most definitely get it with a ds lite.

Well it's alright... In fact, it's a gas.

S-Ranked count has moved up to 8, and now includes Jumpin' Jack Flash.

Well, there's lots of songs I just haven't done much or could really improve. I've only S-Ranked 5 songs on Hard ROCK, I mean.

Also, only about 25 mil left.

How the hell do you get 29 million points? You'd have to get a perfect rating on every song on every difficulty or something...

After all the other stuff that's come out in the last few weeks, I still find myself coming back to this.

I'm only a little over 29 mil below the final rank... Woo...

...and I thought I was bad when I was having issues passing SO DEEP in DDR on Heavy.

Over a hundred straight attempts...I'd probably do the same with this game too.

.Now I got that damn song in my head....thanks.

But yea, game kicks ass, and I'm actually surprised to see commercials for it.

It's possible to fail it on Sweatin' without missing any beats, never mind Hard Rock. How do I know? Because I did it. 253 combo just as the elite meter hit its final notch. I was really sucking that day.

Ah, Jumpin' Jack Flash.

It's insane on Hard ROCK. Ha ha ha. You don't even get a chance to screw up twice there... Actually, it is quite literally possible to fail that song on Hard ROCK without actually missing any beats at all.

Well, if that's Kyouji's issue...

I was born in a cross-fire hurriFUCK
And I howled at my CRAP in the driving rain,
But its alCRAPl riFUCKght now, in fact, its NO gas!
But its all right. I'm jumping CRAP flash,
Its a gas! gas! gas!

I was raiCRAPsed by a toothless, bearded hag,
I was schoCRAPoled with a strap right across my back,
But its alCRAPl right now, in fact, its a gas!
But its all right, Im jumpin jack flash,
Its a gas! gas! MISS

I was drowned, I was wash---*start* *Retry*

And that was on Sweatin' mode.

Finally perfect combo'd that level. After an hour and a half. Rank: B.

Edit: Basically that song has been my biggest problem with the game. These early Hard ROCK! levels are easier than the final Sweatin' levels, which have you hit very, very long strings where there are several notes, and I'm kinda thrown off the first time I see one of these where there's a slider along that. But then that song is different - it has that slider on a note that is only very briefly held, for a very brief time, and I can't perform based on rhythm - rhythm to tells me to only lightly strike it, which isn't what I have to do. So I failed. A lot.
