That's a decent blawg entry on the subject.. I guess it's _okay_ to use it.. it's just not good practice.

For the love of christ please don't use .innerHTML, It's not DOM compliant.

It might be easier to go the other way, replacing images with characters. Otherwise, look at [object].innerHTML.

How would I be able to replace the characters in paragraph tags with images on a website using JavaScript or CSS? I need it for a site I'm working on to keep the layout "uniform". Any help would be appreciated.
