It's not your fault supplies are low. It's not the store's fault. It's Sony's fault and a LOT of people are doing the same thing your friend is.

They don't have to buy it. You're providing a service and supply to fulfill the demand. It is their will and want to buy the system. It is their will and want that drives up the price. C'est la vie.

Because it's taking adventage of someone who did not have the luck of buying one in time, and than has compete with money to obtain it.

Plus there always the chance that it will just keep saying "Disc Read Error" three months after use.

Thing is that so many people might try doing that this time around, that the prices won't be TOO high.

Still demand a cut of the profits. I see nothing wrong with it morally. You aren't crippling a poor person, and I don't consider reselling to be immoral.

I can't wait to hit the eBay listings on Friday night... heck, even some people who are TRYING to be reasonable by putting a PS3 up at $750 will be stunned to see what they get for it.

People might be willing to pay that much, but I maintain that so many people will put it up for auction that they won't have to.

But yeah, I'd ask for a cut of the profits too.

Given how a LOT of people are going to be doing that... (And people WILL be willing to pay high prices, sadly. Just you watch.)

Tell your friend that you'll do it but ONLY if you get a cut of that profit. I don't think it's unreasonable for you to get compensated if you agree to do that for him, given the fact that he's being greedy in the first place.

If he thinks he's going to get $2000 he's nuts. I don't see anything immoral about this, unless you are really opposed to Sony, as some people have started to be. But if I were to help him, I'd demand a cut of the profits .

One my friends wants me to come with him to Best Buy just violate the "one-per-person" at the launch of the PS3. He's going to buy one for himself and buy another one (in the guise of me buying it) to sell on Ebay with a reserve of at least $2000US.

Now he's planing on doing this on Thursday so chances are this will not take. But still, I do have some ethical problems with this.
