One-account-per-IP won't stop that either.

I've been considering email validation, but... I'm not even sure sendmail is configured here.

Else there's email validation (it'd slow down spam accounts a bit) or set a minimum delay between new accounts from the same IP (wouldn't stop proxies though) ... but there's obviously no perfect way to do it

Wouldn't it be a better idea to make all "clone" accounts require manual validation? This way, if someone registers a spam account, you can manually delete it, and if the account's actually legit you can pass it through. Seems reasonable to me, anyway.

If you have a messaging program (AIM, whatever), you can use my contact info (check my profile) to let me know when you want to register.

I can disable the nomultis script for a bit to let you in.

(I have it set to do that because some idiots think it's funny to spam accounts over and over)

You could try going to a library or a school and registering there. Once you have the account you can pretty much use it anywhere as long as you can log in. Your request to get a new account on your mom's computer probably failed b/c to us it looks like the same IP Address. Meaning, they're on the same internet connection which is distributed by a router, but to us it all looks like the same computer.

Trust me. You don't want to register an account. It will make your sister cry. And that makes Baby Jesus cry. And if Baby Jesus cries then...Grey dies :O

And I want to create an account on the board, but it won't let me... Because it keeps saying I have already registered an account.... as Snow Tomato. So, I went on my Moms computer to try to register one there, and it also said the same thing. It's bothering me. ?? uhhh, Any suggestions? And sorry if this isn't the right place to post this.
