Eh, you're lucky it's only the read colors. Back in my day, we had these weird things with brackets that forced you to load 10 different pages just to find out what'd been replied too! Not to mention what nasty stuff would happen when it'd get nested in two different branches.
As for the colors, I'm sure a greasemonkey extension could fix them, should they come back and attack again. (Already suggested, I know) |

It just happens every so often. My only help is just to "grit the teeth" and bear through the few hours it lasts. =P |

(Note the ...I'm hardly up in arms about this thing, just playfully pointing out a bit of an annoyance.) |

I think the best response you're going to get is "sucks to be you". For the record, my eyes work great and even I can hardly tell with this theme. I still like it though. (Of course, since I alternate between desktop and laptop, that highlight is unreliable anyway, so I just use Mark Forum Read.)
You could try the Greasemonkey extension for Firefox; you might be able to make some sort of script to change the already-read colour. Otherwise just live through it for the day. |

Why do you people keep screwing with the board color scheme that I've chosen? I mean, I'm colorblind, and I have it set up the way I do so that I can distinguish which threads I've read and which I haven't, and every time it changes I re-encounter the problem of being unable to distinguish the color of unread topics versus read topics. Dammit.
