Maya: "So Delia, I think you should come with me for a while, just in case."

Maya tried her hardest to be sincere and to hide the truth. The conflicting emotions in her voice would trigger off anyone that was paying attention, but Delia was hopefully still shell shocked from the events.

Maya: "Really, you don't want to put yourself in harms way."

Luke walked away from Maya and Delia, noticing a very familiar face on the other side of the street. If his eyes didn't deceive him, it might help him track down that bastard Lexuk. When he was out of sight of Delia and Maya, he broke out of his walk into a dead sprint. Thoughts swirled in his head as the bard recalled the face.

It was Nijote, it had to be Nijote, the same eyes and smile. Luke saw her, her long bla--woah, wait a minute. Her hair wasn't black anymore, it was... blond? What? Luke stopped short as the woman he thought was Nijote turned around. It was Nijote, but she looked different now. There was no corruption around her or blood on her hands, was this just a look-alike?

Luke examined the threads of fate around her, it was Nijote, no doubt.

Luke: "What are you doing here?"

Nijote's nobody just looked at Luke.

Luke: "Rather, what is your name?"

Pastless: "Pastless."

It was Nijote's Nobody, what next?

As Delia kept pacing about, people begun to gather at the strange scene that had just unfolded...

... but it seemed that no one was paying attention to Luke, Maya, and Delia. In fact... for a moment, the chains of Fate loosened...

Durandal kept watching Luke...

... those events were linked to this being. The weapon could sense that this creature was not a normal one... and glimpses of events that goes beyond time and space were seen... even if it was just for half a second.

The weapon knew it was bound to Delia like Delia was bound to it... and that Delia was a peace-loving, naive being who, if allowed to, would live all of her life quietly within the confines of Fate, never dreaming of anything else.

... at this moment, Delia did seem so... ordinary.

She was good-hearted... but she was the opposite of the ideals of Mother Ex. She was a Slave of Fate, a being locked in self-created limitations and following a baseless, meaningless set of moral rules set by others. A being bound by Fate in such a grotesque way would never be able to comprehend the nature of the events unfolding...

... in fact, it even angered the Dark Weapon.

This human is a being from beyond, an exceptionnal mortal, a being who defy the space-time continuum and could bring out so much!

... and Delia is locked in her silly selfish dellusions, worrying about minor troubles of a boring everyday life!

If only Delia could grasp the scope of what had just happened... of the potential changes to the timeline and to the planned future! The ability to separate herself from her Fate and becoming a true Ex Being was within her grasp... but her mind is too narrow, too limited, too ignorant and naive to realize it.

... such a sad state of affair...

The two will leave and Delia won't even realize nor even suspect what could have been...

There was a silence for a few seconds.

Luke: "Well Maya, I assume you have a place to stay?"

Maya sighed, the absolutely worst thing about Luke was living with him. He didn't make a mess, he did everything he was told, and all he would do is tune his guitar and play silent songs. It was like living with a ghost. He would zone out for several hours at a time and wouldn't say anything. This drove Maya nuts. They had been together for a while, but they had hardly ever kissed or done anything. Maya knew that Luke had feelings for her, why else would he be here, and Maya was devoted to Luke.

Maya devotion was no sign of weakness though. Luke had saved her once. When they were both younger and Maya was nothing more than a mana-battery. A slave to barbarians. He was so innocent back then and Maya truly believed that he was the same little boy. He might have been shown the horrors of people and what they do, but she didn't think he really knew all there was to know... or maybe it was the thought of kids that drove Luke away from his physical side.

There was so many unanswered questions about Luke, that Maya wasn't sure if he was even capable of having kids, or if his kid would inherit any of his powers. Taking a look at her own opinion on the subject though, Maya wasn't quite sure she wanted to have kids, it would be a responsibility she would rather not have to face.

Luke: "Maya, you all right?"

Maya: "Oh, oh sorry. I just kind of got lost in my own thoughts... Yeah, I have a house, but well... you're going to make fun of me."

Luke: "You must have been deep in thought, I thought I saw a familiar face, I'm going to go check it out and I'll meet you at your house later."

Maya: "Are you sure it's safe?"

Luke: "You aren't affected by fate as it is and you can handle yourself. This is important though."

Delia rose an eyebrow. Huh? Not a Hunter?...

...

Delia frowned. Well, that's what you get when you expect those silly legends to be true. Huh? What is she thinking? She KNOW that the legends are made up! I mean... shapeless immortal, almighty entities that possess objects and use them as their bodies as they travel the Universe, creating Dimensions? Come on! That can't be true! That is ridiculous!

... but still... that creature... Siryx... she heard of him somewhere before...

... !!! This can't be!

Siryx! According to the legends, an Ex Being halfbreed named Siryx was the embodiement of Evil, the Avatar for the Absolute Evil himself, nothing less!

... but how could this possibly be?!? According to the legends, Siryx broke free from the Absolute Evil's control and vanished from the timeline when the Absolute Evil and the source of his poisonous power was smashed into pieces by the Mother Ex!

This being...

... the Hunters...

This being, was it truly Siryx... THE Siryx she have read about in her books? The infamous Anti-Ex that acted as the living vessel for the ultimate enemy?

... she can't believe it. All of this is too... too... crazy...

... yet, she cannot deny what she saw... what she felt...

She blinked a few times, staring at the weird human. His power was strange... and she had this feeling...

"You're not a Hunter? I... see..." the Ex Being remained there, so very nervous... and then, realized something.

Frigidia was... gone!

She began to pace around, trying to find traces of the other Ex Being. "... where is she? What happened here?!?" she had this horrible feeling... the feeling that she had been somehow killed.

Yes, she had wished secretely that this horrible wind bag would someday choke on her words and die... but that was just frustration, not her true wishes! This is horrible! Besides, considering she's the last one to run into her and that NO ONE would believe that a weird humanoid Raichu killed her, she would be in deeeep trouble! Oh dear...

... and besides... what kind of creature could kill someone so easily without leaving any traces?!?

This is crazy... just too... crazy...

...

During this time...

...

"I have... returned..." Siryx said, bowing down.

A massive figure stood by the window, looking down at the planet below...

"Look at them, Siryx... look at those... mortals. Living comfortably on their little planet, ignorant of the grand scheme of things. To them, this miserable little speck of tiny sand is the world... little do they know just how unsignificant and pathetic they truly are. In the end, they are just mortals... creatures created by us to worship and serve us. Such... is the fate of inferior beings... of mortals." said the figure in a deep yet majestic-sounding voice...

The figure then turned to face the Raichu. "So... are you bringing back that mortal to me?"

The creature shook his head. "He... isn't cooperating."

"Then... why did you return?" asked the figure, stepping foward.

"I thought you would like to find out that he might require some... re-education... once he shall be back." explained Siryx quite plainly.

"You do not understand, Siryx. You were meant to return with the mortal. Not to do so is to fail. You are nothing but a mere mortal, a worthless, expendable mass of ugly, fetid flesh. To fail is to commit a sin against me... which is punished by death and eternal damnation." replied the figure, its azure blue eyes filling with a murderous intent...

Siryx stood up, a feeling of frustration rising... "I did not fail! I only wanted to inform you of..."

"Enough. You shall be screaming your lungs out for all eternity in Hell, begging for forgiveness for your failure. Guards! Take him to the execution deck!" interrupted the figure, its voice growing louder, an accusating tone rising.

Two figures approached... and stopped next to Siryx, as if hesitating. The figure's eyes glowed, intense rage rising.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!? He FAILED! Damn that WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT for all eternity, as it deserve! HMPH! That's what I get for digging up the old toys of pathetic mortals!" roared the figure, throwing a fit and striking fear into the hearts of the guards... but not into Siryx's.

"Bu... but... he didn't really fa..." the guard couldn't even complete his sentence that the figure pointed at the two. In an instant, the two screamed in terror as the figure pointed at them.

FWOOOSH!

Flames appeared out of nowhere and reduced the guards to ashes. The figure then turned to Siryx... "HMPH! Fine... FINE THEN! I will give you one last chance... ONLY ONE! Bring those foolish souls to the Dark Gate for eternal damnation and resume your mission at once!... and this time, return with the mortal! Failure WILL be punished!"

Siryx, smiling, nodded... which enraged the figure. "WHAT ARE YOU SMILING FOR? I will teach you respect, impudent mortal!"

The figure rushed foward...

CRACK!

... and broke Siryx's right arm! "This is for your defiance, fool!"

... and then, Siryx's eyes widened as he felt his entire body burning with pain as the figure injected into his body a special chemical that caused all of his body cells to go awry. Starting from there, he would be in constant, intense pain until either he was cured or killed from the poison the figure had injected into him.

"... and that is for your failure!" the figure calmed down and soon, its eyes were filled with a kind of sadistic pleasure. "... and that is just a little preview of what you will feel for all eternity should you fail. Now... GO!"

The figure kicked Siryx into the face, knocking him down and breaking his nose. He then kicked into his ribs with all of its strength, knocking him away. He kicked into him again and again until the poor creature was sent flying out of the room.

With the creature out, the figure returned to look at the planet...

"Mortals! Stupid mortals who believe they are equals! They are nothing but tools meant to be used! They have no rights! That worthless Siryx... I revived him and that's how he thank me? He should be bowing down, worshipping me with all of his heart and obeying my orders strictly and placing them above his safety and dignity... not that mortals have any. But no! He have to have a will of his own! That is no way to treat the perfect, almighty, and all-knowing God of the entire Universe!" whined the figure to itself. "Once I will have kicked those silly mortal-loving imposters out... I will make the world as it should!... with us above and the mortals below, worshipping us and obeying us! Fate will rule over absolutely everything and I will eliminate that stupid "free will"! Free will... what a stupid mistake it was to give that to lowly mortals! Oh well..."

The figure then fell silent again... watching... plotting... hating...

Luke: "He's quite the sad sight, but for now I'll play along."

Maya: "Luke... can you restrain yourself in this dimension? I know that what you did was showing a lot of restraint, but can you use more than that? We don't even know what these beings are like."

Luke: "Yeah, don't worry about it, just give me a good kick to the head if I start going to crazy."

Luke laughed sincerely, which always made Maya shake her head. This probably wasn't the best time.

Luke: "As for your question though, no. I'm not a 'hunter'. I'm a uh, well really, I'm not sure what you could call me. I certainly have my own set of abilities and powers."

Maya just rolled her eyes, Luke knew exactly what he was, he just didn't want to sit here for a day explaining it.

Siryx smiled...

... and then, a massive array of chains of fate, all bathed in corrupt red light, came out of nowhere, forming a thick wall before Luke, preventing him from leaving.

"Well, at least, you have a sense of humor. Sadly, you will soon enough learn the limits of your powers. A "simple hole of Darkness" I might be... but that is what makes me most dangerous. Who knows what can spring up from the depths of the deepest holes...." said the creature, grinning as the crimson chains continued to swarm and distort above, consuming this Dimension's fate while replacing with his own, twisted version of it...

"I shall make sure to tell those who brought me back that you aren't cooperating. We shall both see the effects it shall have on this Dimension..." the humanoid creature turned away on those words and begun to walk away...

... but then, stopped in its tracks and turned back to Luke. Then, Siryx pointed at Luke and the wall of weird chains disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared... "I look foward to meeting you again..."

... and then, the creature disappeared and everything was back to normal... except that Frigidia was still gone. Delia slowly approached Luke, eyes widened...

"Okay... what was that all about?!? Who are you? What was this being? I mean..." but then, she remembered something... namely, how he had said that he was some kind of superior being...

Could it be... really? Could it be? "Mis... mister? Are you... Are you a Hunter? A realone? One of those beings who supposely created the Dimensions and all of the timeline?"

Luke couldn't contain himself as he started laughing. This had long since stopped being a battle of power and was now a battle of egos.

Luke: "You really don't know who I am."

Luke could only manage to spit a few words out between laughs.

Luke: "You and I have never met."

Luke continued to choke on words.

Luke: "I am above anything you've ever seen. Far beyond what you could imagine. Unlike any being you ever met, I've always been around. I remember my own birth, can you say the same?"

Luke finally calmed down and spoke directly.

Luke: "Safe to say, I'm on an entirely different league than you. My hole of darkness, I've seen your type before. An anti-thesis to fate is just a being that exists outside of fate. Those aren't as rare as you seem to think."

He sighed, explaining this seemed so pointless.

Luke: "I control both ends of the spectrum. I am granted absolute freedom. You aren't even worth my breath Siryx. Please, tell your masters that if they want to meet me they should come look for me themselves."

Luke played a note and a chain of fate formed on his neck. He turned away from Siryx and started walking away, holding onto Maya's hand and bringing her with him.

"You don't know what you have unleashed, fool..."

BAM!

The Sound Crash slammed straight into the weird man, annihiliting it and sending its destroyed cloak pieces flying in the wind!

... or so it seemed.

The threads of fate... something had got out of the man when it was destroyed. The "man" was nothing more than a shell...

"I am a Superior Force... an ancient creature created by the mistakes of this world's and all worlds' inhabitants... an embodiement of Sin. Your powers are useless against me for I am the antithesis of everything your powers stand for..."

It was hard to explain... but a figure seemingly came out of nowhere, appearing in the middle of the place... a strange creature that was so familiar...

"Huh? What?" Delia... for some reason, she recognized this being...

The creature in the middle of a strange sphere... a hole in the fabric of time and space, the threads of Fate unable to reach to it. In the center of the sphere, a humanoid mouse, a bit like the Ex Beings... except that this one was male, orange with yellow cheeks. The creature looked a lot like a humanoid version of the Pokemon World's Raichu...

The being grasped the hilt of a strange blade... a strange shaped blade, almost like a metallic angel wing, the feathers being in truth small blades, a blood-red eye located on the hilt.

As the being slowly opened his eyes, the sword's eye opened as well...

"Mortals call me "Siryx"... after the name I once had, back when I was alive... back when I was a mortal myself... but I am no longer alive. I am the antithesis of Life... I am permanence, an eternal being. Temporary beings like you can never hope to grasp the nature of beings such as myself. Likewise, your laughable ability to manipulate Fate, while impressive to my "masters", is nothing to me. I am eternity... I feel neither regret, nor remorse, nor sorrow, nor sadness. The continued existence of creatures which you refer to as "innocents" is of no interest to me. You WILL comply... or I will break you."

This creature... was Evil at its purest state. Although the being still had a mortal body, its soul had long passed the state of decay that allowed people to consider it alive on a spiritual plane. The creature was a vacuum... a living black hole which consumed everything and everyone... a force that was not meant to be allowed continued existence within the timeline.

Deep within her heart, Delia understood it. She saw what Luke and Maya saw... she saw the sphere, the vacuum... she felt at this moment that what she was looking at was the face of Evil, not the face of a mortal. A strange feeling of serenity came to her... an acceptance of things to come... and an unknown determination. She was not going to die here... not here, not now. She also felt something... Luke and Maya... how did she learn of their names? She do not know... but she somehow felt as if they were the keys...

Frigidia, her, saw nothing. All that she saw was the body, the sphere eluding her limited perceptions. She became angered at this mock-up of an Ex Being... this abomination.

She took out Durandal, her Dark Weapon, and pointed at the foe. She then charged foward, her words eluding all those around her...

Siryx simply pointed one of his hands toward Frigidia and the creature stopped right in her tracks... and in an instant, black chains came out of the sphere. Those were like chains of Fate... except... totally twisted.

The strange chains wrapped around the female and slowly, she stopped, her eyes becoming... empty.

"Worthless temporary being. As if a mock-up of Mother Ex stood a chance against the power of Finality!"

Siryx made a hand gesture and instantly, Frigidia was vaporized, completely erased from the timeline... and then, he turned back to Luke.

"Although we never met... your soul must be recognizing the Power by now... for our Powers did clash in the past. I am not nearly as weak as I was, back then. This time, you are not to prevail. You will come with me... or I will show you how laughable you truly are. I will show you... that you cannot protect anyone."

Luke: "You act like I'm some good guy."

Luke cracked his knuckles in anticipation.

Luke: "Normally I stay away from fighting because it gets boring, but you're putting me in a bad position."

Luke took a step towards the mystery man and pushed Maya behind him.

Luke: "It isn't hard to tell that you exist outside of fate, which is good and such, but you're missing out on the energy that you get when you break fate. Here, I'll show you just one chain of fate."

Luke strummed three notes on his guitar and ten chains appeared around him. The chains seemed to be the only thing locking him into reality. Luke played another note and the chain around his neck shattered. There was a brief silence before Luke started to quickly play Guile's Theme The air Luke began to stir.

Luke: "Sound Crash!"

Every note Luke hit became a very accurate shockwave aimed at the man. The fast paced song also seemed to provide a barrier around Luke, Maya, and the two Ex Beings.

The strange being crossed his arms. "I am deeply sorry... but you have no choice. You will come with me, whenever you might like it or not. Remember that this is a city, a heavy populated area... and I feel neither regret nor remorse. If you force my hand, I will not hesitate to use my power... and many, many innocents will die. I would also like to remind you that those who brought me back specified that they wanted to see you at all cost..."

... his smile turned... strangely inhuman. "... but they didn't specify that I needed to bring you back in a good shape. If you try my patience... you WILL regret it."

Delia stepped backward, feeling danger. Frigidia, her, stepped foward... "Who... who do you think you are?!? What are you talking about?"

The creature turned to Frigidia. "I suggest you keep out of cases where you don't belong. Your future might depend on it..."

Frigidia's face turned a funny color while Delia felt that things were not going for the better...

Luke: "That isn't the answer I was looking for. I have no need to trust you, and I'll gain nothing from helping you."

Luke just stared at the man before him.

Luke: "You should leave."

A cold smile... an unseen smile and yet, one that could be sensed. "What I want? You are a powerful being, able to manipulate Fate... and those who brought me back into existence believe that your powers might help all of the Dimensions..."

The man's smile widened. "I know that I have been a bit rash... but well, please excuse my first reaction. I'm not used to meeting people... well, I am... just not in this way. But then, those who brought me back REALLY want to meet you. Believe me, they do... and well, I know that it sound shady... so just come and see for yourself. If they're too weird for you, I'll just bring you back here and then, I and them will leave you alone... if that's okay with you."

... for some reason, Delia had this feeling when she looked at this man... no, this human... it must not follow that weirdo... it just... mustn't...

Luke: "Well now..."

Luke seemed to be looking at the man, but his eyes were focused on something else.

Luke: "...had you asked nicely, I might've been convinced, but you're threatening me."

Luke's eyes finally focused on the man in front of him.

Luke: "Tell me where you want to go, why you want me, and who you are. After I know all of that, I may decide to come."

Luke held Maya a little closer to him, recognizing the man in front of him as a threat. Fighting here wouldn't work very well, Luke already knew he would retreat at the first sign of danger. He didn't feel like being swept into a long battle.

Frigidia seemed... upset. Delia, her, was left with eyes widened.

"Whoa... that guy... is some SERIOUS nut..." commented Delia.

Frigidia, her, just gritted her teeth... "A Fate Breaker... an ultimate being. So he is one of Them... one of Those who went through Ascension and can control Fate. It is a great power... I had heard of the Mother Ex having such powers... but I didn't knew mortals might have access to such powers. In fact, considering... it is probable that this human might be a Hunter agent. In fact, it's the only theory I see possible. This human MUST be a Hunter... else, how can he be able to control Fate?" Durandal's words echoed in Frigidia's head...

... and well, Frigidia was upset, VERY upset. "Why you... You're just a human! How can you have such powers?!?"

"Tsk tsk. Beings bound to Fate are so predictable... but well, what is there to expect from half-baked Ex Beings like you?" a voice out of nowhere... a male voice...

Then, a man slowly walked into view. It was a somewhat tall man... yet, he seemed short for some reason. His entire frame was hidden under a trenchcoat, his head hidden by a large hat. His hands were human it seemed... although gloves prevented one from knowing if they truly were the hands of a human. There was an aura around him... an unsettling aura...

Luke must have felt it when he came into view... This man was a cacophony, an instrument that sounded "wrong" and thrown all of the threads of Fate into disarray through his very presence. A being who was standing outside of Fate and whose powers were corrupt, corrosive, vile... and so strangely familiar...

"Ex Beings... such a joke. Worthless copies of the Mother Ex. The Mother Ex was a magnificient creature... one that was unnaffected by Fate... one that was strong... much unlike those creatures. In an instant, you could snap them into nothingness easily."

Frigidia turned to face the man. Who did he think he was?!? "Who do I think I am? Better than you, that's for sure. You think you are close to the level of the Mother Ex? You are an arrogant fool, misusing the powers you were given... like all of the other Ex Beings of this world, I might say. None of you come even remotely close to what the Mother Ex was. You are all weak and unsignificant... but I have no time for you. I am here... for the human." Frigidia's eyes widened. How... how was that being able to read her thoughts?!? She didn't felt a single psychic "pressure" upon her mind... What was wrong with that guy?!?

Frigidia wanted to contradict the man but... there was this... this feeling... which caused her to just walk backward a bit and be quiet. Delia stared at the man, wondering... there was something... familiar about him... she has seen him somewhere before...

... the man approached Luke. "There are... people... that wish to meet you. I suggest you follow me, quietly. You WILL comply. I am sure that you will..." at this moment, Luke got a glimpse of the man's eyes... eyes that were strangely similar to that of the Ex Beings and yet... felt so empty and... twisted. There was something wrong with this soul, it was certain.

Maya: "Luke, just don't kill her..."

Maya looked at Luke and sighed. Ex Beings were probably some of the most powerful things in the universe. Some creatures were stronger depending on how they lived, Maya knew quite a few that could battle with Ex Beings on at least an even playing field.

Luke though, he was on an entirely different level. With the ability to destroy fate faster than it could create itself or maintain itself, Luke could control everything around him by just nearing the possible outcomes to just one. Him winning.

Luke plucked a single string on his guitar and a high pitch screech answered. Maya, Luke, Delias, and Frigidia could suddenly see thousands of tiny threads attached to each of them. The are around Luke though was different, it was clear of such threads, Luke played a second note and Maya's was too. Luke played a third note and a large string attached to Frigidia appeared, and this one was connected directly to Luke's hand.

Luke: "Fate has already determined that I will hurt you so you can never fight again. I can already see how I would've done it too, but I'll save you that humiliation."

The thread in Luke's hand burned away into nothingness, but nothing happened to Frigidia.

Luke: "These are merely strings of fate, your true destiny is in chains. By playing one more note, I can call forth the chains and I could destroy anything that holds you to this world."

Luke smiled.

Luke: "Now tell me, who's the super weapon?"

Everything returned to normal and the threads cleared up.

Luke: "You should thank me though, because I just gave you freedom in your life. Use it how you want."

Luke looked at Maya who had turned very pale.

Luke: "You all right?"

Maya took a step towards Luke before collapsing against him.

Maya: "I just need a few minutes, I'm not used to that kind of display in power anymore..."

Delia was in her own little world, trying to weather out the insults coming her way... when the Ex Being bully notced that this inferior being, that human male, was being brave or rather, very stupid and was seemingly challenging her.

The Ex Being, smirking evily, stepped foward. "Who do you think you are, worthless human? I am Frigidia, the top student of this world's Ex Being Academy. I suggest you keep your wits about yourself, inferior being. With one swipe of Durandal, I could swat you like the annoying fly you are. So... keep your place in mind!" the being's tone was arrogant and confident. After all... why should a living super weapon had to fear from a pathetic human weirdo?

Durandal, her Dark Weapon, opened its eyes and stared at the guitar. "I detect faint energy readings... faint readings strangely similar to that of a Dark Weapon."

The Ex Being's smile became wider. "Oh... looks like there is more to your guitar than making you look like a moron. According to Durandal, it might be possible that it might be using a technology similar to the one that make up our Dark Weapons... which I doubt. You're a genuine human. I don't see how a human would be able to wield a weapon that can affect the space/time continuum or Fate. Truly, you just look like any other weak, common, uninteresting human that inhabit this world to me."

The Ex Being then crossed her arms. "But then... you DID challenge me, don't you? I think you should be shown how weak you are. I'll make pancakes out of you... if it is what you want, of course!"

Delia blinked a few times and then, noticed that the weirdo was standing up to Frigidia... nah. Must be that heartless bully bullying him. Why can't she leave people alone? Man... if there is such a thing as a Mother Ex... then she must be frowning upon the actions of Frigidia. Strong she might be... but well, she's only an evil, arrogant, self-absorbed bully!

... what is she thinking? What do she care about Ex Beings or the Mother Ex or any other mumbo jumbo like that? Ex Being powers... PAH! Frigidia might be unnaturaly strong... but she is still pretty much a normal girl.

Oh well... she will have probably forgotten it all by the end of the day...

...

... during this time...

...

The man looked around and looked at his watch.

... he shouldn't be too far now. Most definitely...

Luke: "Hey, woah. The best instrument tends to have a very forceful personality. While Gjallaguitar might not be able to speak, it certainly tends to vibrate differently depending on it's mood."

Maya: "Yeah, I've noticed that even the earth tends to accept how I move differently depending on the day."

Luke looked at Maya.

Luke: "Really?"

Maya looked at Luke and nodded very slowly. How did he not know that? He might be able to get into someone's head and heart, but he never seemed to understand much about her.

Luke: "Wow, that's pretty cool. See, the weirdest instruments tend to be stronger in the end."

Luke turned to the Ex-being with a smile.

Luke: "Unless you want to challenge that idea...?"

It was both a threat and a challenge. Luke wanted to show up an Ex-being, he could already tell how they were bound to fate and could just play a single note to send this one down to its knees, another to cut off its power, and a third to end its life.

Delia looked to her Dark Weapon, eyes widened... and a smile came to her face. "Finally... BUSTED!" she thought triumphantly for the Dark Weapon to read.

The living sword, it, was frustrated. Who was this human to think he could make the difference between its voice and its wielder's? Why should its joke fail on that guy? What kind of creature is that?

But then, judging from how upset the human now was, it looked like she had to do something... "Err... I'm... sorry..." said Delia, embarassed.

Another "Ex" being, this one much taller and actually the size of a human adult, approached Delia, smirking. "What's the matter? Just shut your Dark Weapon and be done with it!"

At this moment, Delia sweatdropped as her face turned bright red. She scratched the back of her head, feeling so completely stupid... "Hummm... but... I can't..."

"What? You call yourself an "Ex" being and you can't even do a basic thing such as stopping your Dark Weapon from imitating your voice? PAH!" snorted the older "Ex" being, which pushed Delia's embarassment to its limits... as well as her patience.

Such non-sense... NON-SENSE all of it! She was sick of it! But what could she do? Nothing. All she could do... was stand there and take the blow. She was being humiliated, again... It was why she dropped out of the academy in the first place... but even away from that horrible place, other more "talented" brats kept bothering her. The fact that this particuliar one seemed pretty mature didn't help.

What was wrong with all of them?!?

...

The car stopped in an alley. Slowly, he came out of the car and then, checked his surroundings. Perfect location...

As he came out of the alley, he checked his watch and continued to walk toward his destination. Once he crossed the street, now being a fair distance from the alley, he took out a remote and pressed a button.

The remote-controlled car rushed out of the alley and drove right out of the road and into the river. The vehicle disappeared underwater as people rushed to the edges of the river, some intrigued, others panicked about the scene...

Water would destroy the evidence long before the authorities succeed in retrieving the vehicle from its watery grave... and most probably, his mission would be completed as well.

Now, to find him...

Maya: "Uh..."

Luke: "HOLY HELL YOU'RE LOUD!"

Luke practically yelled at the top of his voice. He was looking right at the Dark Weapon.

Maya: "Uh... Luke?"

Luke: "Jesus..."

Luke was now glaring at the Dark Weapon, somewhat pissed off.

Luke: "I mean, a talking sword is cool and all, but you don't have to try and make me deaf!"

Maya: "Luke... she wasn't even that loud..."

Luke: "I'm not talking about the voice, I'm talking about the earthquake magnitude of vibrations!"

Maya looked at Luke, a little bit worried. Knowing him, this was the kind of thing to make him start something. Quite a few people turned to look at the weapon, the mouse, and Luke. Luke didn't seem to care, he was used to the attention after all, but Maya was a little curious as to why no one was running and screaming away from the massive sword.

Two things bothered Delia to no end. The first was that stupid Dark Weapon... and the second was the painful reminder of her immature state.

... and what's wrong with that girl?!? Didn't she ever saw an "Ex" being in the past? Doesn't she know that in this retarded world of hers, they are considered to be able to take care of themselves at an early age, defying all logic? I mean, she IS right... she COULD be a lost child... but well, she's not THAT incompetant. Yes, she failed the "Ex" being tests a little bit... actually, she flunked them entirely... but well, oh well...

To heck with it all!

Delia crossed her arms. "I'm NOT lost! I'm just..."

"Whaaa! I'm... I'm lost! I want my mommy!" to the two strangers, it was Delia's voice... but to Delia herself, it was her Dark Weapon who was awake and playing a prank.

Instantly, the eye appeared on the mouse creature's left glove... and then, in an instant, a MASSIVE sword of flesh and metal appeared in her hand! It was like, the size of Luke's height! It was freakin' gigantic!

Delia's face turned red as she fulminated. "AZURE WRATH! I'M NOT LOST!... AND I DON'T WANT MY MOMMY!" she boomed at her weapon while it chuckled loudly in its mental voice for everyone to hear.

Everyone was staring at Delia now... which caused her to instantly calm down and frown, realizing she had made a fool out of herself. Azure Wrath, her Dark Weapon, laughed even more loudly... and resumed its prank! "Whaaaa! Help me! Help me! I can't find my way home!"

Delia rolled her eyes. "If anybody take me seriously now, it will be a miracle. Why don't I just chuck that damned thing in the nearest river?" the "Ex" being thought to herself.

"Because you NEED me, idiot! Without me, there wouldn't be humor in your life!" replied mentally the Dark Weapon before resuming on crying and whining loudly mimicking Delia's voice.

... and just to rub it in, a pack of "Ex" being students, who unlike her did not failed the tests so badly that they got kicked out of the academy, passed by, shaking their heads in dismay.

Delia's ears dropped to the sides, her eyes narrowing. "What did I do to anger Mother Ex THAT much?" she thought to herself..
