I'm going to the dentist tommorow to see if I'm going to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. I am freaking nervous. but I doubt it doesn't hurt that much when you get your wisdom teeth pulled out with numbness? |

Currently, my first one is coming in, the upper left one. .. Or at least it was. It stopped halfway through a few weeks ago.
I just hope I won't have problems with them. Until now, it didn't hurt at all, except for one day, but that wasn't that much bad. There was only very little pain when I touched the tooth with my tongue. But even if they have to be taken out, oh well. I'll then believe in my dentist. He does a very good job and is also very nice (to me, at least) Also, I think it would be worse if they would be staying in if they cause problems. |

When you have them removed, make sure you have a prescription of vicodin or codeine waiting for you, enough for two days. Or some other pain medicine. Getting those back molars pulled is going to hurt most of the time, especially if the doctor had to cut away a lot of gum.
BooUrns, if they don't come in, that will probably be a bigger problem than if they do come in. Your best hope is that they come in swiftly and gracefully, causing no problems. |

I refused to have mine pulled too, but I never once had to get the surgery. I was told I'd need it (and I didn't want it), but then when my wisdom tooth came in (at least, the one on the left side of my mouth), it came in the right way- no pain. O_o I was happy. |

I flat out refused to have mine removed.
They're not causing any problems, either, from what I can tell, so I don't min. |

Originally posted by BooUrns Oh, they will. My bottoms have been in the same place for about 4 years now. And my upper left one hasn't bothered me in months. Its a very, very slow process. |

If I'm lucky, my wisdom teeth will never come in. I can feel all four of them underneath the gums, but they don't seem to be moving because they have been in the same place for a couple of years now. I really hope they never cause me problems because after seeing my friend's experience with them, I'd rather not have to go through that. |

I believe I can feel four of mine coming in, one on each corner of the mouth...
I've not had to have any pulled though, but my Dentist is pretty good, so I'll see how that goes. And yeah, my orthodontist has already said that I will have to lose them all. |

I haven't had mine removed, however I do have one coming in. Luckily, it seems to be coming in right; unfortunately, though, it's causing me to salivate a lot. Blech. |

Didn't feel a thing when I had my 1st one taken out....(thank you killer meds and a good doc). I still have three left, one of which is growing in, but recently its been dormant. The other two that are on the bottom haven't moved much, but I can see the tops of them...I might have to get the pulled from out of the gum, because it looks like they're going to pushing the teeth that are very close to them. If all goes well, I hope to keep at least the upper left tooth. |

See, I *didn't* go under. The good news is that I was frozen solid so I didn't feel any pain, just pressure. The bad news is that the pain slowly set in after I got home.
Every person has a different reaction to it. You might start feeling better after two days or you might really be hurting for a solid week. |

I've had six removed: four wisdom teeth and two second premolars that where the gaps left where chained. Not pretty.
The day I had all four removed, my mother (THANK YOU) forgot to get the prescription pick up. I had gone under, so I was already seeing everything in double vision and felt reeeeally lucid at this time. We get home and I'm in pain after the novacaine wears off. Boy that was a rough three days. My cheeks swelled up for a solid week but I had to go back to school because my parents were having issues with me staying home for too long. ... MY CHEEKS ARE WIDE AS THE 248209()#W$*@#($@ and you're making me go back to SCHOOL?! Yea, that was fun too. |

That's pretty weird... my friend got his wisdom teeth pulled yesterday too! He was able to talk a little, but he was puking all day because the antithetic made him feel terrible. I hope I never have to get mine pulled. |

Well, I just had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. It didn't hurt at first because they numbed the left side of my mouth but after they were done it did start to hurt and I couldn't hardly sleep last night. Another thing is that I have to have them all removed, they just removed the wisdom teeth on the left side. I have to go back to get the right side teeth removed. Has anybody else got their wisdom teeth removed? It isn't pretty after you have them removed. |
