A list of you "old hardware" would be helpful as well as opening up the task manager when it is at 100% usage. Basically we need details man.

Which process is causing it (Task Manager-->Processes Tab)? If Explorer.exe is causing it, then you probably need to reinstall the operating system.

It tends to happen with CPU-intensive applications.

Hello, everyone. Uhh ... recently (I'd say, at least since August), I've been having a problem with the CPU. Sometimes, my CPU hits up to 100% and stays there for a couple of minutes. As it is known, this causes the computer to slow down; causing programs not to respond until the CPU cools off. So, I stop my work on the system for a bit just to have the CPU lower down to a minimum state (takes at least 3 to 4 minutes).

Well ... I find this annoying. I'm quite concerned on why this is happening. I know it isn't a virus or spyware; don't have any of those. But I do feel it has something to do with the old computer hardware I am using right now. Perhaps I need a more improved system? Or maybe something within the computer needs to be changed?

Generally, I'm asking for ... help.
