If it was a readme for YY-CHR, I wasn't really using YY-CHR, I just like to say that. I used TLP, as you can see in my screenshots. I actually didn't think of using a zsnes savestate, probably because of the fact that everytime I do, TLP just gives me a garbage palette. I will be sure to use YY-CHR from now on.

And pikaguy900, please stop treating me like a n00b.

But you are. ...Just kidding. I'm trying not to make you seem like a n00b. If anything, I'M the n00b. Well, in comparison to others. I can barely tunr out anything people like! It's like I have to go beyond my own limits to make something that people like... Anyways, I'm sorry. I just don't like it when people don't read the Readme, since most of a person's questions are answered there. But I can't get on to you for not noticing an obvious answer- That kind of answer ALWAYS eludes me. XD

It's okay; I don't really care anymore.

As for your problem, the best solution is to draw the SMAS tiles to fit into the SMW palette. By adding a few extra colours to some unused colours on the SMW palette, I was able to make a lot of SMAS tiles with no interference with the original ones:

EDIT: The only thing I did overwrite was the SNES logo.

But uh, yeah, this is just something I did for someone a few months ago. If I have the time in the next few days, I might rip a lot more tiles to make a SMW/SMB3 ow, and release it.

i have a feeling doing this is the easiest way to solve your dilemma, since changing the few palettes that can be safely changed on the overworld drastically enough to include all the colors you need is probably gonna mess up the normal overworld stuff.

and besides, I can't do that because It doesn't load the full SMW palette, therefore, I can't know for sure that I'm getting the colors right.

you can just leave the overworld palette editor open while you're in yy-chr so you can figure out what colors to choose.

ALTHOUGH there may be a few sections of the overworld palettes you can use that aren't used for much else (i doubt it though). I dont know enough about overworld editing to help you with that (i dont think the lunar magic help documentation covers it much either - not for the overworld at least)

Yes I know what the Custom Palette is. That's not what the problem is. I already explained it, you just misread it I guess.

Huh? SMAS GFX hack? Never heard of it! Speaking of hearing things, have you heard about Custom Palettes? No? It's in the Level Editor, under the Level menu. You can't miss it- It's first on the list!

This is getting really frustrating. I have all the original SMW OW graphics and palettes.

What I'm trying to do is rip some GFX from another hack that uses different palettes.

It is some of the SMB3 tiles like the Toad house and the START tile. My SMW palettes do not match up to it.

I really don't want to have to go in YYCHR and redraw the GFX by rearanging what color each pixel will use (you know what I mean, right?), and besides, I can't do that because It doesn't load the full SMW palette, therefore, I can't know for sure that I'm getting the colors right.

I don't want to completely change the palettes for the whole hack, because I am keeping a large percentage of the original SMW OW graphics.

As you can see, there are some SMAS GFX there. (Note: I already tried messing with the water's GFX) If I change the palettes to what set they belong with, I get this:

Can somebody tell me an easier way to solve this problem?

Note: I'm using the SMAS GFX hack made by... Pac ... and I'm using the SMAS GFX from the 2 year old beta of SMB3DX... also started by Pac. I'm not stealing them, I'm borrowing them.
