So although Rare developed the DKC games, Nintendo own the rights. It's the same as the fact that EON productions own the character of James Bond. And right now, Activision own the rights to any game thats JB related. No one else can produce, develop or distribute a 007 game except for Activision. And this would include anyone re-releasing Goldeneye. |

Just because Rare is owned by Microsoft now does not mean they cannot do anything that pertains to Nintendo.. Rare has made several GBA titles, and at least a few DS titles as well I'm sure. Publishing some of their old games on a virtual console is not a threat to MS in any way what-so-ever, they were originally ON the Nintendo consoles to begin with, and MS isn't going to gain anything by forbidding it.
Besides, Microsoft is competing with Sony, Nintendo is more of a gray area to them, they have never shown the least bit of hostility towards Nintendo, but have been full force against Sony. Needless to say, I don't think it'll be an issue. |

Rare isn't going to give Nintendo anything for the Wii thanks to their ties with Microsoft. DS is fine but you're not going to see Rare give characters to Nintendo for Brawl.
It would probably cost more for Nintendo to release Goldeneye than it would make. |

Oh come on, if Nintendo has the rights to use Solid Snake in SSB:B then I'm sure they can work something out between themselves and Rare. I'm sure there's going to be much collaboration in the future regarding this subject. |

Hm, that's an interesting thought. Everyone's gonna want to be able to offer that game, but Nintendo doesn't own the rights to it and Microsoft probably can't make an N64 emulator for it. |

As far as th VC games go, I personally want Top Gear Rally for N64 and Goldeneye 007.
NES, SNES, Mega Drive, MSX, and TG games i don't really care about. I might get one or two of them. I'd also like to point out that the Wii is rumored to output 720p. This might be that one last big secret that Nintendo had in store for right before launch..... |

There's so many games I want on launch, it's silly. It's getting to the stage that some of the games I want are rumored to have been delayed, and I start to think "Yes! I can wait and save for that one now!"
Here's the games I'm intending on buying: Twilight Princess Metroid Prime 3 Wario Ware Rayman I'm also quite interested to see how good Farcry is, although this is the least likely out of all the games I've mentioned that I'll buy. I'll think about purchasing the Virtual Console games as I see them. |

Everything I ordered costed 499$.
And I didn´t preorder neither Excite Truck, Twilight Princess or Red Steel. Edit: What pisses me off is that everything is more expensive here. The Wii itself costed 374$. |

Well, I went ahead and made my list. Keep in mind that I pay 6% state tax and 2% county tax. I've used typical prices for games.
$249.99 Wii Console $19.99 Classic Controller $39.99 Wii-mote $19.99 Nunchuk $49.95 Twilight Princess $49.95 Excite Truck $49.95 Red Steel $479.81 Sub-Total (s) --TAXES-- s(1.08) = g $518.19 GRAND TOTAL (g) $550.00 Budget $31.81 left! Success! All this for the price of JUST a PS3 console. Can't beat that! I've decided to wait for an SD card. All I have right now is a 128MB one, which is okay for photos and such. Besides, there's the 512MB onboard flash that is ample because there's not much due to launch. As for the Wii points card- If the Wii doesn't come with a Wii Points Card, I'll get a 2000, and if the 5000/Classic Controller combo is made available at launch, i'll get that instead of just the Classic Controller itself. |

SD Card's aren't that expensive so pick the biggest one you can just to be on the safe side. If you can get a good deal on a 4GB one, for instance, then grab it.
There's supposed to be 60 VC games available at launch - 30 from the Nintendo library and 30 from the others. Then they'll kick in the 10 a month thing. The reasoning is pretty good; why would you want to put the whole library out at launch and then have nothing to add to it? Plus there'll also be whatever original games come out for download. |

Hoping that Super Mario Galaxy is loads better than Super Mario Sunshine, go for that. By the way, the Wii isn't out yet, is it? I haven't really followed any of these new gaming systems. |

5 to 10 Virtual Console games each month? I seriously doubt they'll do that. At that rate, it 'll take years until all the NES, SNES, and N64 will become available to download. |

I`ve read that they´ll release 5-10 Virtual Console games each month or something like that. At least according to the game magazine I subscribe to.
I hope it´ll be some more, though. |

I'm totally groovin' to Red Steel... And I'd love to see what the approach to Metroid Prime 3 is. I didn't like the feel in a controller, but maybe with the Wiimote, I'll have a better time with the whole thing.
Not only that, but I'm gonna be digging some Virtual Console games, and all of the other little goodies that WiiFi and WiiConnect has for us. |

Er, yeah. That's what I meant. SD Card.
Account for LoZ, because that's a given. |
