Just get the keyboard I have. I got it last year. Two toned black keys with silver base and white printed characters. The print has not been worn away one bit. It's pretty basic but it looks awesome too.

My board lost the up, left, and right arrow keys due to massive Stepmania. Also the numpad Delete.

Almost the same, but with Up, Right, A, and S gone.

All my other keys are still intact, though...

I have only one keyboard (which is broken in half) in the closet here that has faded letters on the keys. Though the one I'm using doesn't have any faded letters... yet.

When I go home I will tell you what letters I still have on my iBook.

As this is a total of about 7 letters, it would be quicker than telling you what letters I don't have.

Hard to believe, but my eMachines 7 year old keyboard has taken all 7 years of abuse without wearing, while my laptop lost several letters from it within one year.

Heh, funny. There's this keyboard site that sells a training keyboard (to type with your eyes closed) and it's over $50. Just wait until the keys wear out and sell it as a training keyboard on eBay

My keyboard went all whitey a while back.

It's better now, though. It got cleaned and it moved out of that trailer park.

Don't judge a keyboard by its color.

I played a ridiculous amount of DWI (DDR for the keyboard) on my computer for a couple years without any wear at all. I have a black Dell keyboard with white lettering. I think you just need a better keyboard.

I play the hell outta Counter-Strike on my black laptop and it's not dead/jammed yet. I'm sure those delicate things would be expensive to fix. Just glad things never came down to that yet.

Alot of my keys are faded. ADVBLC are the most faded ones on my keyboard too. While keys like W and P are hardly affected. (Guess I'm not much of a FPS gamer then )

I've done a hell of a lot of button mashing and all my keys still look good without any hints of wear or tear.

I think you guys just buy the first keyboard you see on the shelves. XD

My keyboards usually get worn before they actually physically break; I've used a few keyboards where it was practically label-less. My current keyboard, however, is only a few days old, so it's all good.

Mine lost the '-' key on the numpad (It just fell off... When the keyboard hit the floor...)

I'm lucky there's another '-' key next to the shift key

Black boards are better because my old white one always showed dirt.

Cy's keyboard has no letters printed on it.

I've had this black keyboard for over 5 years, and the white letters on the keys are just fine, however, I've also a white keyboard, only for about 2 years, and the black letters are already wearing off

So, I assume is about the quality of the keyboard, not its color...

Probably no-one. You shoudl find a way to map that key to something bot-related

I game, hard. the keyboard still works perfectly fine, and I know where every key is (I can't remember the last time I had to actually look for one ) it's just the letters themselves that are wearing off.

besides, who else has an "Al" key

Mine's the same color scheme, but my white letters and such are just fine. Do you type with sweat on your hands 24/7 or something?

My keyboard is negro, too. Except my keys are just fine.
