If you can consistently produce this nasty bug, you'll know it's something that HM does every time. It could be something that occurs at random though (or semi-randomly). Anyways, if you can, try to reinsert the monologue and see if you get the exact same problem. Then get back to us. |

Ok!
Just to make it clear... I tested this too with a normal ROM and no problems. I want it to work with ZSNES anyway, regardless if the bug wouldn't be there in SNES9X, which I highly doubt btw... |

That could be an emulator-dependent glitch.
Try with SNES9X and ZSNES. |

I've been working on a Dutch translation of Zelda III - A Link to the Past for some time now and I'm in the stage of beta-testing now. Most of the script I inserted with help of Hyrule magic, only things like the item menu and several other small things were changed with an Hexeditor or Tile Molestor. Now, some strange bug has appeared in my translation. It only happens when some boss causes a tremor, like the boss of the first castle or the fight with Ganon when he makes the floor tiles disappear. The screen shakes in a very buggy way and starts flashing, after that either the game continues normally or it will freeze or the room will have moved up so you're stuck in a wall or you can't reach the boss anymore... The bug must have been caused by HM since it isn't there in an earlier back-up were all graphics and menu text is changed (but not all monologue yet inserted). Someone familiar with this bug and is there maybe a simple solution? Otherwhise, I'll have to insert the script again in the earlier back-up, not really a problem, but I'm just a bit curious too about this... _¬ |
