I always liked the European versions because they allow you to play through the game in "Action Mode" (no messing with towns) before unlocking that professional mode, as well, it allows you to choose the difficulty level in action mode.
But anyway, this looks nice (from what I've seen so far, I guess the Japanesse version is the hardest, judging by the extra monsters in the first lvl) |

Neat. I always liked Actraiser - it was a very fun game to play. I personally don't like the Japanese version for its slower simulation mode, however. It just got very boring after a while, and seemed like more of a chore than anything else, unlike its faster-paced, North American counterpart. I might check into it sometime, though.
I might want to (semi-randomly) bring up the hypocracy in difficulty changes between different countries. Some games, such as this one, are harder in Japan than they are in North America, but other games, like The Simpsons Arcade, are the other way around. |

Aeon Genesis has released a complete translation of the multi-genre masterpiece, Actraiser. It is hopefully without bugs, and should be enjoyed immediately by all who read this news. Have fun! For the doubters, this version contains many subtle changes, both in gameplay and in cosmetics, over the US version, and should prove to be a fresh and more difficult experience. |
