Fun fact: SMW was designed to hold a star in the item box at one point. It even has code to cycle the star's palette (though they screwed up and used the wrong values), and of course, it drops down in the same manner as the mushroom and flower. ![]() |

It could actually be pretty easy to make 2). You could make a block that will store a different item depening on something like the last digit of the timer. I'd write the code for it, but I've forgotten how. ![]() |

1) Yeah, Blocktool can do this. I don't know if this works for the star, but it does not work very well for the Springboard, or at least not for me.
2) BMF's demo (Super Mario Odyssey) has a block that seems to contain an almost random item. I dunno if that's what you mean, though. |

To 1 - there's a block in blocktool for that.
I have no clue about 2, though... |

Well, as the first is not usually the best time, this topic is not the eception...
I just thing about two simple and maybe dumb ideas: 1- Could be possible to keep stored a star in the item box? 2- If possible that option before. Coud be possible to create a randomized item? ...anything you get and give you a random hability (item) included mushrooms, leaves, flowers or star. Like in Mario Kart but instantaneously. |
