I often get disconnected just before it starts.

Maybe schools are better with wireless than they are with ordinary wired networks (none of the schools here can afford wireless ) but damn... local admin password last year was 'welcome'. They use Deep Freeze thinking it gives total security, but don't put a password on the BIOS (floppy drive is even the first boot device, and CD the second), and the password is 'freezer'. They often forget to even activate it. Their idea of security is to disable right-clicking on the taskbar and remove the File menu from Explorer. It's hilarious... until you get yelled at for using Notepad because the teacher doesn't recognize it and thinks it's a virus. XD |

I had no issues with playing over dialup myself. |

So even if it's wireless, you can technically run a server on this network, without having to setup a router (that I wouldn't have access to). Another way of playing over internet would be the adhoc way. This assumes you have a internet connection and a wireless network card. Going to try it... since it's good for me who have a unused wireless network card. |

Well it is the same way with my laptop. It won't let me connect to the internet for some reason. |

Suckas. Security is the min at my school... I wound up letting them know about one hole in their security... They said they'd monitor it, but they never fixed it |
Alastor Posts: 2269/8204 |
Man, just wait until you get to college, where security is to the min |

There are two keywords there "In school". It is the same way with a PSP. The security is to the max in schools. |

I really think he means that it's the fact that it's in school. |

you find it weird that your school put up security for their network and wouldn't let it down??? |
Riku Posts: 362/1823 |
I found it strange when I used Wi-fi in my school. It supported the adapter, but the security was set to the max and wouldn't go down. |

I finally got to work. You'll never guess why it wasn't working before. It was too close to the adapter. Apparently, laying on the floor next to the adapter is too close. |

I just want to tell everyone right now how the Mario Kart DS Wi-Fi works.
1-You connect to a network. 2-You connect to Wi-Fi 3-You choose which type of connection you want(World=Slower,Regional=Faster) 4-Then JUST SIT THERE AND WAIT(WAIT,WAIT,WAIT!!!!) until the character selection screen comes up. Most people think that it does not work just because they connected and the flashing dots( which mean you found a person) come and go constantly.NOT TRUE! Just connect, and WAIT.Even if it says"You may not be able to gather four people, JUST WAIT!!! Now for Friend codes. Maybe people on here could exchange their friend codes and we could all race each other by selecting friends for the connection instead of world or regional. 1-Turn DS on 2-Start the game 3-Tap WFC(Wi-FI-Connection) 4-Tap Friend code AFTER YOU HAVE CONNECTED TO A NETWORK! 5-Tap confirm friend code(this is your friend code) To add a friend: 6-Repeat steps 1-4 7-Tap register friend code 8-Now put in the friend code of the person you want to add(tell each other your friend codes) 9-After that, type in their name... 10-...then go back to Nintendo WFC Match 11-tap yes 12-select friends and tap ok There... I type really slow...It burns! So now everyone knows how to race each other. Now all we have to do is make a time to get on-line, like everyone gets on at 9:00 or something. My friend code is: 004356 968637 My name is Philip H __________________________________________________________________ I don't talk to myself, just anyone who is listening. |
