India. I don't think I need to elaborate. I haven't even been to the worst parts of the country.

Well, apparently Ashfield in Sydney's semi-west, where I've spent a bit of time at various points, is notorious for rape attacks and break-ins in recent years... it never really seemed that bad to me though.

I'm going to second the St. Louis ghetto. I do kind of live in St. Louis.

When I was in poland probably. There were alot of houses there in a need of demolishion. :/ Though I didn't see any prostitues, but I did see a quite few of them in germany... and first time I saw them. xD

haha, I think that's the first time I"ve seen the word yinz on the internet, apart from IMing friends. As for the topic, we'll say I don't live in the best neighborhood.

Wouldn't know the area, but somewhere in downtown New York. Probably near Chinatown. Might be a bit off since it was several years ago on a school trip, but the place just looked run-down.

Honorable mention to the ghettos we passed in the school bus going into DC.

The alley outside of my house, where gangs n' prostitutes used to hang out.

Now they're just on the street 10 feet north, so the auto dealers have to deal with them now.

Iowa doesn't have any crime-ridden areas. Hardly even in Des Moines.

Oakland. I used to play basketball in some of the gulliest places on earth. Never stopped at a stop sign or traffic light when I didn't have to.

The ghetto is just a few streets next to me. They don't give a shit about police neither any other people. Luckily I know some of them, so I'm safe..but still..you can't trust them.

Washington D.C. It's scary just riding through the neighborhoods in there. Heck, its scary just going to the museums cause there are so many weird people. Never go to D.C. for a vacation or a tour... EVER.

I've been around Chicago a bit and in places, it gets plain scary. The homeless under some of the bypasses just paints both a sad and creepy picture and some of the broken down neighborhoods make you feel like you would be in a foreign land if you step out of the car. Not to mention a fear of being shot or something.

This place called "The Glen" about 1 or 2 miles away from where I live has jagged streets, cracked sidewalks, torn houses, trash all over the place. At least the Ambrose gang is cool with me, they keep the Glen as their territory and shoot at people trying to break in the houses. The area is too dense in crime yet the neighborhood holds no value to the mayor so the cops don't bother the gang. Usually they'll harass people they don't like. I have to pass through the Glen sometimes to check on some people in the Judson area.

So yeah, what's the worst, crime-ridden, broken-down, trashy place you've ever been to?

I have to say that the St. Louis ghetto is pretty nasty. My dad and I had to deliver and unload this stuff for Habitat for Humanity. Like walls or whatever so they can build houses. Anyway, the place was totally run-down. Buildings were condemed, closed, boarded-up, broken, etc. Graffiti everywhere. The place was horrible.

So yeah, worst ghetto you've been to?
