I voted hogans alley.

but theres a serious problem here, where's "To the earth!"

that was the most hardcore NES Zapper game I ever played. it's 200 times as badass as duck hunt

But Yoshi's Safari was not? Eh, maybe the option of shooting the green dinosaur in the back of the head was not as kid friendly as they hoped x3

Guess what? I was wrong.

Duck Hunt (well, I said yes there), Hogan's Alley and Wild Gunman are all on the ESRB's list of approved games, meaning they're all headed for the VC soon (January?).

Wow, so I wasn't the only one who thought that game was the greatest back in the day?

I personally believed and hoped for years after they released the DS that they would remake at least some of the old games, like Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley (I own both for the NES, and a working Zapper, too - DO NOT EMULATE! - zapper funtionality is terrible with a mouse, even the shiny new red lazer ones). The DS could have released a "Duck Hunt" game, perfect for use with the stylus, original graphics on the bottom screen and cool updated 3D closeup effects on the top screen.

Yeah, they'd better release "Duck Hunt" in USA or I will be PO'ed, though generally, Nintendo use their own Japanese market as "guinea pigs" to text concepts before shipping overseas - The fact that DS and Wii released first in US makes me very happy

The problem with using the WiiMote as a "gun" is that all four corners of the screen will need to be defined for perfect accuracy, and even then many TV's sometimes truncate the edges, etc. Nearly FPS games use a bulls-eye or "target" to shoot the enemy; although it is very possible that a cursor could be added to the VC console at a later date to add emulated "Zapper Support", some older gamers might sneer at it - it could perhaps be turned on/off, but without some type of an aiming device, you are literally "shooting the wind"

BTW, please don't flame me for "bumping" as I am only trying to stimulate discussion

Would actually be intresting if you could play the orginal NES version of Duck hunt emulated as a bonus, though the pointer emulates the gun.

And yes I know about this duckhunt remake. Still... I kinda regret that my parents didn't shell out extra for the set including duck hunt.

fabio, I don't think it will be as easy to exploit that as I heard that it won't work too well when you're really close to the TV.

As did I for Duck Hunt. However, now I don't like that game too much. Maybe it's the repetitveness, I don't know. I'm gonna have to say Yoshi's Safari here. Maybe Lethal Enforcers.

I went up to the screen when I played too. I did that throughout the entire game because I was 5 years old and I didn't know any better. I forgot who it was that told me not to stand in front of the TV screen the entire time.

I'm going to do that again if it is on the Virtual Console just for old times sake.

Same here. Only problem is I'd get pissed when I'd miss and go up to the screen and shoot point blank. Now I'm a hell of alot better and never miss. I can go on forever without missing.

I don't think any of those games (aside from Duck Hunt) will be remade... if anything they might simply appear on the Virtual Console.

The one true answer, clearly, is Typing Of the Dead. (ahem)

I was playing Yoshi's Safari and it hit me. What if all the old shooting games were to be downloadable trough the wii and used with the zapper shell? Well, that was my original idea then I thought, What if the games were entirely remade? (to at least give Yoshi's Safari a story line with an actual point) So what do you think?
