The second image looks good, but it was freaking me out for a bit -- it took me a while to work out why -- there's no eyelashes or eyebrow. I'd like to see how it looks with both -- at the moment the eye kinda weirds me out without it. It looks good in a way that unnerves me... |

The rocks are quite sharp-looking, and pleasing (without having to zoom in on them.)
The second image looks freaking great. At first, I couldn't tell it was 16 colors, since it looked like less (until I zoomed in.) |

Mostly on the edges in the rocks, fooling with where to put the highlight, to make it seem very sharp, it turns out close to a shadowed edge works great. same thing on the J, the rest is scribbles, but I also tried the technique abit on the hair on the bottom-left portrait. using 16 colors I attempted to make something look quite realistic, as far as colors and shapes, I'm not too sure I met my goal, but it looks kinda nifty |
