Closest match... Ever.

I was like, sorta shaking at the end of that. Me and this dude were having a "Best of of 5" Battleship match, with Volley rules.

Damn, that was close.

I'll second that. I don't get a rush playing just the last song though, I usually get a rush during every song. Well, except for I Love Rock & Roll, that song is too painfully easy.

I actually get that way when I get tired, I suppose I could say it's logic and experimentation shutting down and just naturally doing what I know works, as opposed to trying to find out what works better. some examples would tetris attack (a game like that would rock on a touchscreen, nintendo) SFA2, or smb (run run don't stop ever D

I get a huge rush when I play Twisted Metal 1 and 2 for the Ps1 and Twisted Metal Black for Ps2. Part 2 the most though, going through other countries, I get a big rush blowing up the statue of Liberty in the N.Y. level in part 2.

And in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas when Carl gets the jetpack, and I go back to Grove st. to shoot the ballas and cops, then the army.

Man Payne series, when you use bullet time on those thugs. Great rush for me.

Dance Dance Revolution and In The Groove.

...do I need a reason not to get a rush?

As always, Tales of Symphonia.

In normal battles, (or some boss battles), I'm a pretty normal player.

In some battles (Abyssion lol), I just get so much better at this game (I can dodge pretty much everything, or at least block).

Also, some bosses I duel and do stuff I didn,t think was quite possible.

Yea, Tetris DS.

I'm playing online, and someone may beat me a few times, and then all of a sudden I start dropping pieces like mad and make several Tetrises in a row and rip him apart until we finnaly stop playing each other.

Other games like WoW, but it's not the same. In WoW, I'll be fighting things, and out of the blue I will just start pulling acrobatic moves around enimies and make it virtually impossible for them to hit me. Then I will gather like 4 enemies and tear them apart barely untouched by doing acrobatic moves around them.

And another game this happens to me in is SSBM, but I normally lose my mind when doing it(aka: forget what happened). I play as Marth, and I just lose myself and destroy everything with force. I normally play defense/offense at the same time, but when I am fighting multiple foes at once, I lose thought of what I am doing and pull off miraculous manuevers and kill everything. Sometimes it is slightly different, whereas I dodge constantly until one wrong move is made and I trample them with crazy combos. Normally, I can't even do that properly, but the raeeeg from multiple guys drives me insane and pushes me over the edge. I think it is Marths manuverability that helps the drive though...

Most of these descriptions sound more like epileptic fits.

Tony Hawk 2.

Man, when I got a rush on this I pull off everything than I can remember. Mind you I'm a good player under normal circumstances but sometimes it just all falls into place.

Devil May Cry/God of War

The constant dodging and moving. Grey probably said it best.

Halo 1 or 2

I'm an average player since I don't practice much but sometimes I just get so damn good that I don't miss. But, the sudden moments of rush don't last long in this game, I eventually get to nervous and fuck up in some way. That or people just gang up on me.

Counter-Strike: Source

After I kill about 25 people in a row and get the "GODLIKE!" sound playing I start getting a good rush. The biggest rush I had was 35 kills in one round and the "HOLY SHIT!" sound. A guy on the counter-terrorist team tried to blind me and I jumped up and knifed him to death. The average player usually gets killed after about 2-5 kills.

The sounds go like this: Killing spree! (3-5 people), Rampage! (10 people), Unstoppable! (15 kills), Dominating! (20 kills), Godlike!!! (25 kills), Wicked Sick!!! (30 kills), Holy Shit!!! (35 kills).

It's great because there are real people playing and they get to see how good I do.

Adrenaline rushing, blood pumping etc etc.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories did it. The last boss fight, when you have used all your cards, auto-life, heals, items and the boss is SO low healthed and so are you.

Tetris used to do this to me. Not so much anymore. SMK's Rainbow Road has been known to get me going, as well as Starfox's Space Armada mission. There's something about blowing everything up every ship in the level that excites me. Most of the other levels don't have tons of optional targets like that one. Also, the music gets it just right to keep it exciting.

I thought this thread would be about rushed games.

I've gone a bit crazy when playing like Smash Bros. or something..

Mostly it's just me getting into a mini-haze when playing Mario, and doing really well in it or something.

Ah... all this talk of dodging makes me want to play the final battle against Metal Gear in Metal Gear Solid. I got GOOD at dodging Metal Gear's attacks. That and it's funny to walk between its legs and watch Liquid Snake get all confused / take forever to turn around.

There are moments when I'm playing games that require a large amount of moving and dodging, like Devil May Cry or the latter-day Ratchet games, where I'll suddenly enter this zone of concentration that somehow makes me completely impossible to hit. It happens more or less in any game where there is an actual dodge maneuver that the user can invoke and manipulate at will. I love dodge moves, and I love being able to move around and run circles around foes in games, it's exhilirating and requires a lot of skill and control, and is somehow more elegant than just bulking up and taking hits when you need to.

Uh... Well, there's Super Smash Bros. Melee. If the alternate Final Destination music or the Giga Bowser theme plays, I get insane. I mean, I still know what I'm doing, but it's like there are only a few times I'm actually wide open to an attack. It's like a tornado farted or something.

The same thing happens when I'm playing Megaman 2 in any boss fight or the first two Wily levels.

Super Mario Kart. Rainbow Road. I still fall, but usually once. But if I hit a thwomp, my rush ends, and I fail. If this happens, I usually hit the thwomp 2-3 more times, in conjunction with falling into a pit.

Usualy, any time of epic or catchy music puts me in the "zone".

Also. When I'm invincible, usually in Mario Kart, I get a different king of "rush". I lose my sanity, basically, and try to ram as many things as possible. I also do lots of [loud] sinister laughs, along with a lot of pointing.

I also tend to do a bit of tiny sways every now and then, as if I'm losing my own will to support my body weight.

[Edit] Oh yeah, I almost forgot. My hands tend to sweat like crazy at this state, along with some eye twitching.
