Whatever I feel like possible. Go to college and crap, both me and my wife. Last week I treated her to a romantic dinner.
Classes this year are hard. They decided to cram two years of information in one year, into our heads. While most of the profs tend to do just that, only a few of them worked like last year, one year of information crammed into students' heads. I also tend to do odd jobs, just for money, while Beck has a job working at a costume shop downtown, and incase any of you asks: yes, it's a family friendly costume shop. u_u As to how I live, we're going to move out of my house to our own small home next year, depending on how my little financial situation plays out with the insurance company and stuff. |

In theory, everyone has to, but practial, you know how to behave and what to do, so you don't have to go. Trust me. |

I study at a university. This gives me 80 000 NOK (~12000 USD) in government loan/scholarship per year (it's a loan that all Norwegian citizens get (if they want) to study. If you're a good student and produce your 30 study points per semester (this year I'm taking a course on Democracy, a course on the European Union, and a course on Planning and Politics in society, all worth 10 study points each) parts of your loan will be converted into a scholarship).
Of this money (80 000 NOK per year = 6 666 NOK per month), I spend 2 800 NOK on my appartment, and the rest is pretty much equally divided among various gaming resources (be it electronic, board, or pen and paper), alcohol and tobacco, and food. |

I was going to sell blood plasma. But I had been working and didn't change before I went there, and the told me my shirt was too dirty. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but I was somewhat relieved. A friend of mine does it sometimes. Basically they take what resembles a hollowed out nail and stick it in your arm, then they sit you in front of a crappy Disney movie for 45 minutes or so while they drain your lifeforce.
For this you get $15 to $30, depending on your blood type. |

I go to school, and in Sweden we get money for doing that (for up to 6 years full time post-highschool studies). So if you're living at home (which I am) you can usually get away with a bit of a profit each month. Also, I don't have to cook my own food . |

I'm a software engineer by trade, specialising (if you could call it that) in web-based applications. However, I've got my final year of university to return to this year, so I've hat to hang up my gloves for a bit.
I've got a flat in the city centre of Sheffield with a fair rent for a single bedroom. The only other things I have to pay for is council tax, internet, phone and other energy bills. I'm also considering subscribing to Blockbuster's online rental service, so I don't have to pay extortionate prices for DVD boxsets of 24 and Deep Space Nine. |

I live with my dad so I don't pay rent.
I work at APAC (which is customer service) to pay for my 2002 Chevy Impala and my cell phone. |

I don't have too many necessary responsibilities in life yet, as I'm still in high school. I work hard in school so I can get into a good college, I work a part time job so that I can have a car to get me to school/other things, I help out around the house for my mom, etc. When I have to move out I'm sure things will get tougher, but until then... I'm good. |

I work. I don't have to, but I want to, I feel a little more sound knowing I'm helping hold my weight so my aunt dosn't have to do any more than she already has to just to support herself. She says I don't have to do anything but it's not like I have much else to be doing...not a lot of friends, so, I work, it's fine. I'm a waitress, hoping to move up to cooking one day, but, doubt that will happen here xD |

Originally posted by Dr_Death16 Oh, yes, that reminds me. After getting my degree, I couldn't find a job AT. ALL. I eventually had to rely on my then-girlfriend's sister to get a Decemberween jorb at Yankee Candle unloading inventory. Almost got fired from THAT because I was late, although that was because I had to give someone a ride (and the boss called to confirm that). At least I smelled better than when I worked at Boston Market in high school. And the savings for that didn't last. Resorted to substitute teaching, lasted a whole four hours. Thankfully, the assigmnent was that long, but a visual demonstration of how the day went: Couple of weeks later, I got paid. Deposited the check, went out to dinner with the girlfriend... and the entire paycheck went towards overdraft fees because the check didn't clear until the next day. |
