Well, to emphasise that it's a puffy jacket, I'd uh... make a point of showing how slender she is underneath -- deliberately showing / emphasising how slender her wrists are, for example. 
At the moment the fact that you can't really see that probably helps with the chubby/puffy jacket visual confusion. I'd make a point of showing that she has pretty, slender wrists |

For some reason, I love the fact she's a smoker. It adds a lot to her personality, and I think she looks hotter like that
