Your host uses his PC as his server, eh?

Why are you linking to images there?

Use Photobucket or the like, it's free and doesn't take as long to load.

Takes too long to load, even taking 10 seconds on DSL? That's not good, and if you post fairly often, it'll be murderous. Please, figure out a different way to do that, I imagine you could make something similiar at least for the top bar with stylesheets.

The problem is that it has to create a new connection for each image, combine it into two or three images, and use a image map to link each button, it should load alot faster. Or if you really want to get fancy, just make one image, and overlap it with a scolling div for your text.

I'm tempted to make myself one of those, just for you X...

Except I'm not that good at making layouts...

I don't hate open source software.

I hate people who link to every single piece of software using an image in a board layout, which makes his posts take forever to load.

That's pretty sweet. It reminds me of Bouche's old WinXP layout.

And maybe it's just because it's already been modified, but it didn't take me very long to load, and I'm on dial-up...

It's probably the fact that my host is using his regular PC as a server =/
It'd take me a bit to migrate all the images to ImageShack or something. And there are supposed to be a lot of buttons. Else you hate open source software.

And since I don't want to be killed by an admin so shortly after returning, I'll see about remvong SOME buttons.
EDIT: Done. Used to be 29 buttons below. Reduced to 16. (Took out stuff I actually don't use, heheh)

The layout is pretty decent but it took one hell of a time to load those pictures.

And I´m on broadband.

Took a good two minutes on 'accelerated 56K'.

Not complaining about the look more than the load time too. It should go pretty fast though, considering that the button sizes are about 1-2K a piece...but I have a feeling the server that you UL'd it is to blame.

Well that's because it's cached.
It does take a while to load, and I'm on cable.. =\ You should probably eliminate some buttons.
But, it does look quite nice.

Oh, I guess it wasn't just me.
The first time I looked at it, it took well over a minute to even begin loading. Now it's just a few seconds.
Oh well.

Looks great. So many buttons! It does take a little while to load, though...

Awesome layout, you got there. It takes a few seconds to load up, however. Nice work.

No problems with it, aside from the incredibly long time it takes to load all the links you have around the text.
I finished reading your post before any of them loaded, thus making it look pretty crappy.

It could just be me.. but probably not.
I guess it was just me. So, great job.

At least it's simple and readable. Better than some I've seen lately.

A LOOONG while ago I was designing a similar layout... now I've figured out how to do it. ^_^
Based on my current GNOME theme, which is a mix of Opus3 (borders) and Clearlooks-Vega3 (controls)
The tabs are links to sites I visit regularly, the buttons are derived from my sig on MFGG and M:FM.
Comments please, and if you don't know who I am, look at the bio in my profile. :D
