You do realize that the whole point of bacon was to preserve pork, yes? All that salt and sugar was supposed to retard decay would probably make the possibility of any other biotic nastiness from manifesting itself either.

I was about to mention beef tatake actualy xD Love the stuff, but it is indeed quite raw. You just need to be careful to eat raw meats in low quantities, there's a reason we cook things and its not just for flavor  |

Meh. I ate raw bacon as a child and never got sick. Chances are if you are feeling sick, the bacon may not have been in optimal condition, or it's a product of your imagination.
Nowadays I cook my bacon. Till it's crispy... mmm |

Don't die! I ate raw bacon all the time as a kid, and rarely, raw hamburger meat. I was a RISK TAKER. But man, I liked it a lot. XD |

Ugh.  The thought of eating raw food does not appeal to me much, with the notable exception of sushi (which can be found pretty much everywhere up here). Like Colin said, take a couple minutes to cook it, and there's no problem. |
