Here's a registry file that should undo anything nasty done to your taskbar by third party programs. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/nodesktop.reg With any luck that will fix your problem. Just to warn you, it will probably remove any customization or other toolbars you might have. It will restore the original XP taskbar. |

I remember a time when my display control panel would take a long time to load because it was looking for some nVidia stuff that I deleted without uninstalling. It was not until I updated my nVidia drivers were things running smoothly again.
So, my guess is the Yahoo! Toolbar may have changed something in Windows Explorer and not revert the changes when you uninstalled it. So, perhaps reinstalling Yahoo! Toolbar and doing a proper uninstallation may do the trick? |

For some reason (I'm on winxp sp2 btw), the taskbar seems to not respond whenever I open a new program and stuff.
Stopped responding twice in 15 minutes, and for 3-4 minutes each time. It is currently fine, however, I dunno when it's gonna do it again (hopefully never). Only thing I have changed since it worked fine was that I deleted Yahoo! Toolbar stuff. As I already stated, I dunno if it's gonna do it again, but I wanna know why it did it. |
