To make progress even longer, I am going to release two versions. The ACMLM Edition and the Not-so ACMLM Edition.

The ACMLM Edition will feature new sprite GFX to accomodate ACMLM realted dealies.

The Not-so ACMLM Edition will incorporate my new sprite GFX.

That will be the only notable difference. Even still, it may take a while until I can even release a Demo.

The cave graphics are decent -- a bit too much contrast, maybe. But that's not a huge problem.

My only issue with it is that I can clearly see where the rock pattern repeats. If you could tone the "seam" down a little bit more it would look much, much better.

It's been a while. I figure I'll show a bit of what I've done. Please note that this is not all that I have made since I last posted in here.

I don't particularly like how the Beetle or Swooper Bat turned out.

I've created a pretty good Pokemon Hacking Level, I think you'll like it. I'm also currently working on the Approval Request Forum.

EDIT: Note the Question Sphere. It's the same basic thing, just with a different green surface. That, my friends, is lazyness at its finest. I'll probably go back and change it, though.

EDIT2: Also take note, I am no Icegoom. I am aiming to keep the SMW Shading style while changing Sprite appearance. It isn't that easy to do, when I don't really have anything to go off of. The sprites and FG are going to differ slightly, though.

Also, I want you to know thatthis project has become more difficult than I had anticipated, so it probably won't progress very quickly. But hey, it's not like I'm throwing together a few levels and GFX from other SMW hacks.

I read this as "cake level". I thought the FG was supposed to look like those frosting swirls on some chocolate cakes.
It does look like a good cave, though. Only issue is the FG appears to be mostly dirt which doesn't look great against a mostly rock background.

You should have seen it before. I was going to make them blue and use it as an Ice cave. It was terrible.

I think the ground tuned out allright, but I still think it needs work.

The sprites and FG I'm working on, shown in an earlier post, won't be implemented until later.

It actually does. I'll redraw it though, because I'm not the first to think it, but it looks terrible.

Nice sprite redraws. I think the goomba looks a little weird without pupils, but that might just be me. As for ACMLM Adventure, I think the overworld sprite for mario should be replaced with a mouse cursor. That would fit with your current overworld idea.

This is just a side project. The sprites are temporary and I will most likely use them in another hack. I'm just tired of looking at the old sprites while I work on levels. I will, however, create new ACMLM based graphics once I've got my levels done and I've figured out what I want them to be.

I think the feather looks pretty good. Not much of this has a lot to do with Acmlm though.

Your sprites doesn't fit Acmlm adventure theme very well.
for example, changing a sprite to "OFF"this sucks
You may use these sprites if you can't find better ones

Those look pretty good to me. Thwomp, the springboard, and the blocks look particularly good. The only thing that looks a bit off to me is the Spiny. I think you tried to cram too many spikes into too small a space.

I wish you luck changing everything. It ends up being a bigger job than you think it is at first.
