Wahh.. I'm.. SO pissed off right now. Some current money problems mean that even though I've pre-ordered, it's going to be problematic me actually BUYING the game.
This shits me so very, very much. I need to work out some kind of crazy Nazi budget. |

Both Kingdom Hearts games are quality.
That said, I'm loving the fact that thanks to a bit of patience, I picked up Dragon Quest VIII for $20 new (Spoil stuff and I KILL YOU) not long ago. A nice improvement from when I almost got it for $27 used a few months ago. Yay patience! |

Heh. I just got KH1 last week.
I've never exactly been up to date in the gaming department. Still, I'll probably buy KH2 before I even finish the first one. Of course, I haven't gotten very far yet, because I also got Shadow of the Colossus and Legacy of Kain: Defiance, which, as a friend put it, Kingdom Hearts isn't really gripping. It's just fun as hell -- but a lot easier to put down and pick up again later than some other games. |

Unfortunately for me, I wanted it so bad that by the time it came out here, I practically knew everything about it and had seen most of the cutscenes. I still throroughly enjoyed the game though.

I promise you this game doesn't waste your time. Although, it does feel kind of short. (30 hours  )
Thank god they fixed that horrible camera.
Just so you know, I was like this when they released the game in December for Japan. I could not wait. I kept looking up videos for my entertainment.
I eventually got it. I was happy. I did not want the game to end. |

The truth about why they took so long in converting it over to PAL. .... It's because they don't want to have all the awesome australian artists disappear for long periods of time when their art is needed before hand. ....

Seriously though, good job on avoiding any spoilers. I know how annoying it can be to avoid spoilers.. Though.. I've only had to do it for at most a week or so for anything.. not including games that were out in japan and having Sion constantly shove pictures to me
And Zidane.. you made my wallet cry. Aw, there there, Wallet.. we can still have fun with cheaper things even though it doesn't have full power... Hey! Why don't we play with the Nintendo 64 we bought for 8 bucks! It's got that memory expansion and a N64 controller that doesn't have a terribly loose analog stick! |

It's not fixed if there was never anything wrong with it. I'm not telling anyone to buy a PS3 - I'm not even buying one. It was just a suggestion for any Playstation gamer who would be interested in playing not only next generation titles, but also older ones, without the region barriers.
The price is a little high. I just thought that one who would buy a new Playstation to ensure that a game would work would have a little extra money to throw around. Really, if you think about it, the PS3 launch price is pretty good. High end computers cost about $1,000-$2,000 (Mine was around $1,400) and are already able to outperform the X360 and the Wii (as the Wii has slightly lower specifications than the X360). However, I don't believe any PCs outperform the PS3 yet; and if they do, they would barely come close and cost a fortune compared to the $499 PS3. |

A bit offtopic, but PS2 have the largest number of variations compared to other consoles of the same generation (dreamcast, Gamecube, X-box) becuse they fixed minor problems with each. I thought about buying a PS2 for the games but the rumoured reliability scares me away. :p |

You could have also just remembered how great Sony's first run of systems usually is.

Well, I managed to successfully ignore Kingdom Hearts 2 and all threads and information and anything related to it up until now.
It's just the fact that now I know the release is this month that I'm starting to get all impatient. I was completely oblivious right up until recently. I hate getting impatient. I thought I'd grown out of that. |

I think it's been proven that you enjoy and appreciate the things the more you have to effort for them, or the more you have to wait for them.
Back on school I used to get a 10 for everything (A+?) because everything seemed very easy, but the 10s were not exciting or anything, but some teammates were like "YES! YES! I FINALLY GOT 8 ON MATH! YAY!"... |

Gimme!!! GIMME!!! But yes, I bought another PS2. I don't have any interest in PS3, but I want to continue to play my existing games on a system that is functional. Particularly for blue/purple discs as that's the primary problem with my old PS2 (and adjusting the laser works only SOME of the time...) My previous PS2 has a few issues, but seems to work for most discs most of the time -- I shall be giving it to a PS2-less friend, who is happy to work around the issues / has no blue/purple PS2 games. 
And I want the game now now now now noooooooooow. *whine* God dammit, I hate waiting when it has no logical point as far as I can tell. |

Say what you will about Sony and their past failures/problems/debacles, you cannot deny they have released some pretty damn fine and exclusive games for their system. (well, for the PS2 at least)
Kingdom Hearts is a perfect example of this. You just don't see these types of Action/Adventure/RPG games of such extreme quality on the other consoles, or at least not nearly as many. KH1/2 are some of funnest games (not just RPG's), but games period. Yes ,it very much sucks that Australians and Europeans have to wait longer than North Americans, but In my opinion it is very much worth the wait. As for spoilers: here's one..Kingdom Hearts 2 is even better than 1. Did I just make your wait even more unbearable? |

And given the cost and the uncertainty, if you don't *need* to buy a PS3 right away, then you shouldn't. Wait. |
