It's not so much that people want or don't money, but I also have a feeling that Vyper here is seriously underestimating how much these services actually go for.
Suffice to say that I'm confident any professional web designer would laugh in your face if you offered them "maybe three digits if it's really good!" for the design AND coding of a website. |

Heh, I'm just honest--I won't honestly claim to do the 'near impossible', I.E. a site which has all those pictures AND what I would call a good setup. Plus I don't really do super-picture websites.
Also, I have a job, so that sort of makes me less desperate. However, for money or not, I'm willing to help you... the only catch is that I can only deal with the layout and the text; I can't draw for #*$&. |

Try playing around with CSS. You can do some quite striking things with it, without overloading things with pictures, and you can also do some cool things with pictures you can't do with regular HTML. For some ideas; go check out the CSS Zen Garden. |

I'm just looking for something that's really eye-catching, that will attract visitors.
The info on my site is solid, and I've got people that can write stuff whenever, so that's not an issue at all. It's all about the look of the site. I need something new that will draw in lots of hits. I've been looking for something new for over a year, and I'm sick of it. Like I said, I'm willing to pay into triple-figures (as in over $100 USD) if it really works. |

Yeah. Take a look at my page. It might not be very pretty, but even people with insanely slow connections can load it. And the bandwidth usage is extremely low. I can fit the entire site on a floppy disk! (Note: Not including all the archived stuff which is not essential to the site.) |

See, that's the thing, I think you look at webdesign with the wrong attitude (your specific mention of Photoshop is what suggests this).
You need to design something for your VISITORS... they might be on 4k dialup |
