I had an interesting drug and alcohol fueled night last night.

Never mix vodka, salsa dips and acid, people.

I still need to get all the salsa off the ceiling and somehow out from behind my TV screen (it's actually inside it).

And my girlfriend apparently has most of last night on camera. Oh shit.

I drank for free last night because they forgot to start my tab at the Thirsty Scholar. Man, I love that bar.

I really enjoy the flavour of beer. But I don't often drink to get drunk lately... I drink to get a little tipsy, for sure, but I don't go out of my way to be shitfaced or anything. So it doesn't matter if the beer is filling, if it fills me up, that's just an excuse to slow down drinking

I'm currently having a Black and Tan

Mine's Coopers Stout and Coopers Sparkling Ale.

It's just... there's something different about liquor to me. I think I have a small stomach or something, so I can't fit enough beer in my stomach to get me more than tipsy. Liquor, on the other hand, is more than concentrated enough to do me in for the night.

I am the same way. I think my high tolerance is a little more to blame than my small stomach, but both are factors.

Same here. I'd rather have a shot than a beer, just because I can feel the shot, whereas I don't really feel the beer even if I shotgun it.

I think reading your posts makes ME stupider, too.

But your post does make a lot of sense. At least now I know why you don't know the difference between harmless substances like alcohol and brain frying substances like pot.

Why the fuck are you swearing off alcohol to begin with? Are you a maochist or something?

I want vodka now. Cheap vodka. I had a little alcohol today, but nothing major.

BL is tempted to have a couple shots of vodka from his roommates collection. This week has sucked and I had nothing to do tonight, I can't believe I haven't done it already.

I guess I'm one of the clean people. I've tried beer and wine, but no drugs. Drugs fry the brain cells.

I have trouble being social if I smoke marijuana. It makes me sleepy and my thoughts are too all over the place. It's not good. It's fine for pain relief though.

Drinking makes me a little too social for my own good. I just keep talking and talking and talking... and I sometimes talk about weird stuff

But I think I much prefer drinking. I just feel.. well, more social. And because I'm not plagued by social anxiety as much, happier. All I want to do when I smoke weed, is to make nachos, and eat them.

Hm, drinking, eh? I do enjoy my glass of beer once in a while. And my glass of whiskey. And my other glass of beer. And my shot of tequila. And I wouldn't say no to another glass of beer. And so on and so forth.

Well, yes, I drink a lot. I drink often. I guess it's not a good thing, but beer tastes so incredibly good. In my experience, being buzzed is the best way of high there is. Being sloshed is fun untill the next morning, when the stories people tell you make you realize you don't remember as much as you think you did from the day before. Now marijuana, that's a whole 'nother thing.

Now, mind you, I am definitely what you would call a casual marijuana smoker. Ironically, of course, I got stoned yesterday. however, I'm pretty sure that was actually the first time I smoked marijuana this year. Smoking marijuana is fun and all, but it's nowhere near as social as drinking alcohol. I'd definitely put the high from marijuana smoking over the high from being sloshed, though. In my experience - and I might of course be wrong here, since my experience with marijuana is limited - when you smoke marijuana you remember what you did much easier. It sort of feels like your mind is split in two, one clear-minded part, knowing what is going on but without the ability to affect anything, only observe, and one wasted part, which is totally and utterly in chaos, but which has the ability to control the body, and as such makes the person you are, and gives you the good time you have, while smoking marijuana.

To illustrate, I tried explaining this theory to my friend yesterday. It came out something along the lines of "you've got two brains, you know, and one of them is all "schdurrr", and the other is all "wheee!" - and the second one can't do nothing coz the first one is in controll" - and all the while as I was saying it, I knew it didn't make any sense, but I couldn't stop myself from saying it anyway.

I missed that.

Is Newcastle Brown delicious now? It must have improved then.

I tend to prefer things from the Coopers range of beers

Actually, there was a segment on TV about hangovers and dealing with them, and they said the best thing to do is have water while you're drinking, and a powerade and mild painkiller (ie panadol / tylenol) before bed.

I tend to have a multivitamin before bed too.

I think this gets better with experience, like how a first-time weed smoker doesn't really appreciate the high. (Or so I hear from potheads, anyways)

Water is key. best to drink it during the night to help you in the morning. Plus, you have bread, try eating some. It should soak some of it up.

GREAT GREAT GREAT ADVICE. Great advice for novices, rules of thumb for heavy drinkers. Always have food in your stomach while drinking, and ALWAYS stay hydrated. A hangover is nothing more than severe dehydration due to alcohol. If you don't drink water you won't get any better.

It is finally Friday.

I went to the pub. Had a lot of champagne.

Have a beer for later to have a "black and tan" with.

There is actually a bar in the basement of the student's home that I live. And once a month they have something called 'Super Friday' where they serve really cheep beer. I have heard (I pretty much just moved here..) that it starts at 10 kr (~1.5 USD) early in the evening, and stops when it hits 25 (~3.8 USD). And today is such a Friday. (Normally you would pay something like ~48 kr (~7.4 USD) at a regular bar.)

I will most certainly check this out.

Also, I had to do an oral presentation today, which is something I'm not at all comfortable doing. But now that it's out of the world, I say it's time to relax some..

I drank half a 60 once. Didn't puke, a fact I'm proud of (And my mom resents). Only problem was that some chick brought over that Bacardi Big Apple shit. The moment the smell hit my nostrils, I sat forward and ralphed into a garbage bin.

I will never drink that vile concoction.

EDIT: The 60 was scotch.
