I think another Chrono game would be great. I'm of the opinion that the FF series has gone down the tubes, but maybe that's just me. I only want to see another FF if it's a good FF.

Never played Chrono. So, I vote Final Fantasy.

I'd like to see another Zork game.

Just toss that in with other things that will never happen, like another good Chrono game.

While I'm at it, Kyrandia, Might and Magic, and Spindizzy all need sequels and won't get them.

Well, what can I say except I've been a Final Fantasy fan since the first game. Lately, the Final Fantasy games haven't been as good. They should think more on quality rather than quantity. Still, being a FF fan, I had to vote FF.

I'd rather see another Final Fantasy or Chrono Cross over another Dragon Quest.

Easy answer. A Chrono game. It's not like Square stopped making Final Fantasy games.

Your right. The REAL reason I made this thread was to get a little Chrono Trigger discussion.
Looks like sombody wants a root canal.

I concur. For example, those 3D fan-project remakes looked great before being shut down. The battle system should not be changed, though, like you said before. I think it is quite great as it is.

mmmm....

I don't dig it.

I think I prefer the "Chrono *insert word here*" to "Chrono Trigger: *insert title here*"

And I have to reiterate: I'd rather see a remake of the original than a sequel.

Not that I don't want another FF game, but ooo, I want Chrono Break (or whatever).

I'm actually a bit conflicted about seeing a third Chrono game... if I recall, hasn't most of the original team left Sony? There's a chance we could end up with a horrible contrived game that's a poor imitation of CT (or worse, a poor imitation of CC...)

What I'd REALLY like to see is Working Designs making a sequel to Allundra that ISN'T Allundra 2. Seriously, that game wasn't even a loose sequel like Chrono Cross. And it sucked.

The first one was Playstation Gold, however.

I think we know the story to that already. XD

If they made another Chrono game, hell yeah I'd buy. If they made more FF, not really... unless they did as well as FFT. Advance didn't cut it. In fact, Tactics was the only game of mine ever to reach the 99:99:99 time limit mark in one of my saves. If a game like that can keep my attention, then they should do a real sequel, this time a lot more customizable and a lot darker story.

For the sake of this poll, I'll go Chrono. I don't like FF as of late. The latest FF I enjoyed was IX, and that was a while ago when it was released...

To tell the truth, I thought it would be less one sided than this.
(Although, I figured that the new Chrono game would probably be winning. )

Chrono Cross didn't do too exceptionally well.. The story was too vague for most people, and the game wasn't direct enough a sequel to please all the fans of the original.. Mind you, I personally loved Cross, and found it to be just as good as Trigger in a way. But, I see far to many people who just hated Cross, or whom didn't understand it at all..

Due to that, I'm not sure we'll ever see another Chrono title..

I always wished Square would've taken other series farther, like the Mana games (there's a good amount out there, but I can't say I've enjoyed them as much as SoM and SD3), Vagrant Story, Chrono, and so forth.

Same here. I´d buy Seven Stars if the ported it to GBA or DS. I thought Seven Stars was a wee bit too short, though, and it was too easy to reach max level. Culex wasn´t harder than any other boss except that he could kill a char with one single attack (except the healer).

I´d rather see a Chrono sequel. Square is spitting out new FF games but I like the re-releases for GBA and DS.

I only choose a sequel to Chrono Trigger/Cross because the new Final Fantasies have interested me not at all since X. Plus I didn't really like Chrono Cross to start with, so a better sequel or parallel to that world would be nice to see.
