My friend told me of a website similar to Final Fantasy Roleplaying... I tried it out, and although the concept was good, I didn't like the setup... but I know other people who really enjoy it, so if you enjoy RPG's, I guess you would like this.

Kinda dissapointed at the selection of games here. Oh well, let's do something about it.

http://gunz.ijji.com

GunZ: The Duel, a great, fully 3D 3rd person shooter. Major multiplayer mayhem.

http://soldat.pl
Worms meets Half-Life in this 2D killfest. Includes Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and CTF play modes. Online.

http://warrock.net
A High-Quality Free MMOFPS. Battlefield style gameplay complete with multiple vehicles (Tanks, jeeps, helicopters, jets) and massive maps for 16-on-16 player matches.

I have more, but will list later.

The Sandbox of God

You control the outcome of the world. Either make the human race evolve, or let them stay as savages forever. What you should know is that it will be quite a challenge to keep the human race up to date.

The Sandbox of god is a puzzle at heart, where every decision you make affects your outcome in the end.
For instance: I can use each godly power only once. So say I use the rain function. Then I make a comet hit the earth. The ground, being mushy, allows the comet to get stuck in the ground and become a mountain.
BUT if I use the comet function first, the comet will leave a big crator. THEN by using a rain function, I can fill the hole with water, making a lake.

This game may start out rather poorly for a platformer with some repetitive enemies and serious lack of bosses near the beginning, but the game gets much better and much more interesting and by the last level you'll definately be glad you've played it. Most of the bosses are incredible, especially our composer friend from the third level...
WARNING: The game's main theme will get stuck in your head eventually.

I tried playing this but had no idea how to beat the second boss (or whatever it was) where they have the giant machine at the top firing gigantic missiles ate you. Nothing worked.

So I just stopped.

FreeCiv- As you might expect, an open-source clone of the earlier Civilization games (It's closest to Civ II).
It seems to take some features from ALpha centauri (and Civ III), such as the borders thing I see in screenshots. I have no idea if it uses a culture system or works like in alpha centauri though. I need to play FreeCiv again, been years. But most of the buildings seems to be taken from Civ II... they even get obsoloted with the same techs. xD And the only new units is the worker and other aircrafts... inspired by Civ III. Not a bad thing though, since I hated the system where terraforming and city building was done with the same unit.

While I might prefer alpha centauri or Civilization IV... FreeCiv seems to be a nice game to have a huge multiplayer game in. It seems to be a bit more multiplayer oriented than the game it's based on infact.

What's the greatest game that came in a cereal box? Chex Quest.

Hilarious, and actually quite fun I'd say.

Kodus to anyone who remembers this or has even heard of it.

Extremely fun multiplayer CTF game. The computer players are very smart, and even playing alone is fun! It's only LAN multiplayer, but it can be used with Hamachi VPN.

This game was created by some students from Digipen, and we all know how good Digipen games are

Multiplayer Asteroids! - Deathmatch online, rather fun and a clever idea.

I remember Multiplayer Asteroids. Story time, motherfuckers. I found a technique that worked very well in it, and was accused of hacking by some angry person. I was simply moving diagonally in one direction while shooting over at about a 90 Degree angle (in terms of my movement path). This made me really, really, hard to hit. The guy who called me a cheater was freaking out over how I was hacking and making the bullets not affect me, and not using "strategy" like he was supposedly doing (despite the fact that most of his bullets were clearly falling short, and some were indeed hitting me)

It's quite beatable though; if one was to approach and swing into my flight path shooting, he could easily get some shots in, as could flying adjacent out of harm's way and shooting (if all goes well, they would off me before I had a chance to turn around and return fire or escape). The guy who was freaking out over it was too worked up in "strategy" (and anger) to keep it constant and beat the simple-mindedness of my own strategy. In fact, I only died once or twice while using that strategy, due to bad luck. Probably shows how stupid the people I was playing with are.

Sauerbraten

A mostly-new FPS. Akin to Quake in a lot of ways, but is much more than that. Has mutliplayer map editing (!) and a variety of multiplayer modes (both team-based and not.)

Cube

Sauerbraten's predecessor, Doom-like in design. Very lightweight with regards to system requirements.

MUGEN

Totally awesome, completely customizable fighting game maker where like of the elements of the game can be downloaded from a number of sites. Best feature about it? Putting in my mp3s as stage music.

I have my share of videos uploaded on youtube:

WITHIN A DEEP FOREST
I know at least one of you already is a time travelling ball gathering a bunch of hidden powers to defeat a mad scientist bent on nuclear winter. But your surroundings aren't as pretty or as cleverly designed as in this game, and I bet you've never ridden in a mine cart, either!
WARNING: May cause seizures. Or extreme frustration. Or both, but only in like those two specific levels. You'll know what I'm talking about.

NATHAN'S SECOND CHANCE
Haah... this isn't one of those fast-paced platform adventures like I do so like. Instead, it's a somewhat scribbly LucasArts-style point and click adventure game about... Well, maybe you should just play it. It's pretty short for one of these kinds of games.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
