They're different because people fear what will hgappen when they die and they need some kind of crutch to hold onto. It's sad because the human race is only going to tread water until the majority of humans give up on the whole religion thing.
I like Wikipedia for wasting time. My favorite activity on there is looking for mistakes or half-truths. |

While I may have some Christian beliefs (I WAS raised as a church goer,) I can't justify calling most of the things presented in the bible anything other than mythology. If you looked at it objectively, neither could you. There's nothing to back ANYTHING in the old testament up, and while several things in the new testament are recorded in other histories, the details are still just stories.
No one has a problem labeling other old religious histories as mythology. Why should The current mainstream ones be any different? |

www.bible.com
The world of the LORD is in it. There isn't a place with more real facts than www.bible.com. That's what the Lord said. |

Not at all. It's a lot better if it isn't because then you're having people fight on your behalf against something completely silly; and apparently you're the only one among them who sees right through the silliness. |

Power? Yeah... I suppose if you manipulate enough idiots you can fulfill any agenda. |

I think it helps if the position IS cultish or racist.
Way more people seem to flock to you when it is. |

I think that's one of the rare positions of power you can hold on the Internet; someone who knows that what they're saying is BS, but can have a bunch of people agree with his position. (Of course, it helps if the position isn't cultish or racist.) |

Yes, the comments are funny, cause some people HAVE taken it way too seriously.
It's funny that a whole bunch of internet idiots went on the warpath cause of the silly article. Course, Shane just stirs them up some more... |

No, the article itself wasn't serious.
But man, did you look at those comments? D: |

Sadly, the star wars kid is VERY notable. He's known to hundreds of millions of people - far more than your local celebrities or, say, arrogant fools like Shane Cubis. |

Must be an Aussie version of SA or something but I found that hilarious. Seriously... who's notable? There's local celebs I could put up there who would probably be deleted, yet that damn Jedi kid probably gets a full-length piece. |

What I found funny was The Chaser's article, entitled "Wikipedia's run by a pack of pricks"
It details Chaser journalist Shane Cubis' story of having been added to The Chaser's article, and the creation of a seperate article, only to be repeatedly deleted. The comments are funny... The whole Chaser website is funny... |

It's fun to see what is/isn't notable sometimes. Even if some of the decisions/discussion is... well... unnecessarily wordy... |

When I surf Wiki I tend to stay within topics such as astronomy and physics. Did you know that Jupiter's magnetosphere is so large it touches Saturn? |

I don't see how Wikipedia can honestly run around saying that things are none-notable though, it seems like that rule was just made up by stuck-up "elite" wikipedian veterans.
Oh well, I like to use that as a source, and failing that, I just use Wikipedia to steal their sources, heh. |
