I have Optimum Online. THAT problem occurs when the green lights are lit up to the 'DS' stage, where that one is blinking.

He might have a VOIP service like Vonage. Then it would make sense. If he has Comcraps(Comcast) digital voice, I wouldn't be surprise if its the modem.

Also, if you're using Windows XP SP2, it can do about the same thing (with the 10 connections limit. Liked to crap out on me that way.)

In the past couple of days, I've been not able to access the internet on one application at a time. (Meaning one will not work while the others are fine) It's usually Firefox, MSN, AIM, and iTunes that I have experienced this with.

Specifically: Firefox won't load pages
MSN won't sign in telling me the service isn't available.
AIM: Look above.
iTunes won't let me create a new account saying it could not connect to the music store.

Right now the only one giving me problems is iTunes. Before it was Firefox and MSN... which went away after a restart. I know for a fact the AIM and MSN problems has happened on other computers on the network with a restart stopping it.

Also, earlier in the summer I've had problems with my cable modem where it would not connect and the phone line would be dead. I would have to wait a while for it to connect but then everything would be fine. The support guy said to exchange my cable modem for a new one. Would that help fix my other problems also?
