We had a bomb, I guess, threat here last semester. The only problems with it were....
a) The idiot that made the threat put the time as 7:30, didn't relise DST just took the spring forward. b) They, and this is very laughable, spelled bomb as "B-O-M-P". So basically, we had a bomp threat. I'm going to bomp your school. |

A lot of people tried to leave for the bomb threat. The teachers all watched them though and made us stand at the back of the parking lot.
With that, that one kid that tried to take off when we were walking to our Jr High, he didn't get away. He might have if he hadn't slipped, but one of the teachers stopped him. |

We had a threat last year, a bunch of people that I knew ended up getting into the mix, bleh, it was messy.
From what I heard, it was written in the guy's bathroom mirror, but the guy misspelled "Bomb" by dropping the second 'b.' What a dumbshit, which totally ruined creditablity in my opinion. We had school that day it was supposed to blow, but a bunch of people didn't go. |

Never had a bomb threat... Nasty though.
But yeah, why bomb the school building anyways? All you'll do is cost taxpayers a lotta money... unless you blow up the assembly area. Frankly, in a bomb threat there shoudl be multiple assemly areas, just in case. |

Thats lucky for you Snow Tomato. My school would have contained us until the end of school. |

how many schools have bomb threats?
wait more importantly, how many schools actually blow up? :p *setz sorta likes tuna's idea but prefers the crashing a plane full of snakes into a building theory |

That was kinda what I was thinking of. They could have planted the bomb anywhere.
A teacher told us about a school that had a bomb threat and when people were leaving the building, a couple people in the woods started shooting people coming out the doors. Maybe someone has also heard of this one. |

Originally posted by acillatem98 You know, what you do is you plant the bombs underground, fand then call in a bomb threat... Everyone'll run outside (over the bombs, or rather remote mines) and, well... Not that I'd do it, but it just seems a lot better than putting it in the school itself, where everyone will evacuate quickly. |

Everyone was more pissed about it then scared. Most people complained about it being too hot outside and a lot complained about it being during lunch.
I haven't heard if they ever found out who did it. |

Last year when I was in 8th grade. There was a bomb threat and every one for some reason didnt really give a flying-f**k. I was the only one worried. (true story) |

I remember back at my old primary school we had a few fire and bomb drills. If it was a fire, you'd close the doors and leave the building. If it was a bomb, you were supposed to leave the doors open for some reason I've forgotten, and leave the building. |

A guy I went to jr. high with got expelled for pulling out a clip and loading it during an assembly. I don't think he was being a terrorist, I think he was just that fucking stupid to bring it to school and use it to deflect boredom. |

Some schools actually have a policy where when there's a bomb threat, they herd everyone into the gym or something. Yeah, great idea. Then if the bomb is on someone, everybody dies!
At mine they'd just lock all the classroom doors and have you sit against the walls. |

Wow. My friend just informed me that our school actually has about 700 students. I kinda feel a little stupid right now.
I think whoever called got caught. Turns out the caller called the police station to announce this threat. I didn't hear any direct word that they caught them, but I did hear they know what city. The only thing I don't understand is that the police only checked our high school for any bombs. They could have just as easily planted a bomb anywhere else. |

They'll find out who it is and that student will likely get arrested and expelled, if it is a student.
Bomb threats as practical jokes aren't anything new. My school had one a few years back (after I graduated) but the idiot decided to call it in at 7 AM. So, of course, by the time the cops came and the dogs sniffed around, there was just enough time to head to the lockers before first period. I'm fairly certain the kid was caught too. |
