i've done a no-sleep marathon before, and without any drug aids. i lasted about 80 hours before I finally zonked out. It was funny, because the guys were all writing on my face at about ~79 hours, and i just didn't give a shit. I just let them draw dicks and boobs on my face.

Typically, when I stay up for long periods of time, it's usually around 36-40 hours, possibly more. I can function quite well, but it is often accompanied by feeling lightheaded. I used to do it fairly often, although I don't do it as much anymore, unless there is something important happening at night.

Pretty much the same for me. Though after about 70 hours, standing becomes quite difficult.

Let's see.. the most tired I've ever been was when I got 4 hours of sleep three nights in a row, and then stayed up for 40something hours. It was because of a poorly scheduled trip and a really annoying departure time for the flight home, plus the fact that I can't fall asleep on a plane. While I was doing anything, I just felt really tired, but as soon as I stopped talking/eating/whatever and just sat there, I stopped functioning unless someone got me going again.

That's only if you're a slow-witted slacker. As long as you stick to your work, are confident, and ration your studying, you shouldn't have to resort to it at all. Studying all night is a last resort for idiots, and usually isn't very effective. You'll likely forget about all you studied about through your tiredness

That reminds me of that one LAN party. I tried to stay up as long as I could without sleep. In the end I was so tired that I had a hard time to talk IRL. It just became slow-ass pronouncing of words or something like "glarbwef".

And if I talked to someone about something, I had forgotten about it in about one minute later.

I haven't been able to pull more than 24 hours straight, and anything over 20 is seriously pushing my limits. People tell me though that in college I won't be able to make it without being able to pull all-nighters, but I'm hoping I won't have to resort to that.

That's why 16-18 hours is my limit most times. I've never done more than... oh... 20 or so, and even that's a stretch. I doubt I'll be pulling an all-nighter anytime soon.

Actually, believe it or not, this is untrue. He speaks about the same when in this condition.

My typing quality is actually (generally) linked to my state of being.

The worse it is, ... well.

Actually, that really was me (my desire to use my backspace key was also very much diminished, I was more in a state of not caring anymore)...

Needless to say almost nine hours of sleep (11:30 - 18:30) most definitely refreshed my system (and to think it was only because my sister woke me up that I even got out of bed) ...

But yeah, caffiene overload on lack of sleep => fE(Gh294gohbbbbx... don't do it! D:

I should've taken a hint when I fell asleep at my computer earlier (and woke up four hours later, with my laptop nearly dead since I unplugged it from the t-storm); I was waiting for that furry bastard Ailure to respond and in the 9 minutes it took him to do so I was long gone

(in other news, I feel like doing things again and not like "belakgehl", whee)

Good idea: Throwing a surprise party for your father
Bad idea: Throwing a surprise party for your grandfather

I remember that, although I'm not sure if that was the intention when the topic was made.

He's not drunk, can you read? He's had 4 hours of sleep in the past 42 hours, and attempted to make it even longer by downing mountain dew.

Which failed, by the looks of it ;D

He's sleeping now though, hooray.
