Everything Dan said. Most of all, I want to know if there are utilities outside of the character editors. But, yeah, I know, I need to learn hex, but if it's difficult or tedious, I might not have the time to do so, what with an always-on-call job.
But yeah, I have several questions. Help making utilities, and yeah, finding the data would be good. Like... Okay, let's hit the spoiler button. Which, I don't know where that is, but. I want to turn FFT into... well. The Fifty Year War. But first off, I need to know the various code and/or utilities to make it. |

I think you need to clarify what kind of help you actually want. Do you want help to learn hex, help to make utilities, help finding data, etc? |

Hey ladies and gentlemen. I was curious if anyone at all knows about a battle or text editor for the Final Fantasy Tactics ISO? I downloaded and beat FFT a while back a few times through, and recently became curious if there were the tools available to make a FFT hack, because I'm still more or less hex-dumb.
As it stands, I want to make a full scale, FFT hack... As a note, the only tools I've found were FFTEdit and FFTastic, which are both character hacks, not text or battle editors. Also, I think I need to clarify, by Battle Editor, I don't mean a feild change, but like... if in the first fight, I wanted to add a Chocobo. Just as example. |
