I would have posted this in the SMW ROM addresses thread, but it's actually a small modification and an IPS download, so I thought it would be more appropriate to make a new thread.
Anyay, here is an IPS of a mod that allows you to have longer paths for the Creating sprite. The starting address has changed, and it is found in the README (that way, people will READ it). Please, please, back up your rom. I am not responsible if your hack is corrupted by my IPS. I am pressed for time and have to write an essay, so I was rushed and didn't have time to perfect the code for expanding the direction area of the main overworld directional code. I rather made it so the code is universal, one working on all levels, however I can change this when I have more time. I didn't even test the portion that makes it universal, so make sure yourself that it works (particularly on the MAIN overworld) before you back up your rom again. The format for directional data, as well as the starting address for it's normal data without my mod can be found here. If it freezes for some random reason, or there's a problem with the IPS file, please let me know. Also, if any (ASM-knowledgeable) particular person wants some specific data on where the parts of the code that do whatever (related to this sprite) are located at, just let me know, and I'll post it, as I've seen some interesting stuff. -Goldensunboy Edit: I wouldn't mind if someone submitted this to SMWCentral, either. |
