FreeDOS: Well I've had a few things stop working in Windows and work in Linux.
neotransotaku: It might. It might not. Even if Ubuntu has automount for USB drives, doesnt mean it's actually going to work. In my experiance, Ubuntu has to be reconfigured... a lot. Anyways: here's a link: http://ipodlinux.org/Main_Page |

I tried hooking it up to my friend's ubuntu computer. However, we weren't sure whether ubuntu saw it connected or not since ubuntu has automount for usb drives. |

It's a hardware problem, Neb |

Try one of the Linux on ipod projects. It might work. It might not. If it works, then you have a working ipod. If it doesn't, then you still have a paperweight. You have nothing to lose, you know? |

And then people looked up the error code to see if the problem was terminal or not.
Ah, the days of the early Macs. |

I've had my ipod for... a little less than a year. About 10 months. It's working great, and I hope it stays that way. It's a 30GB iPod Video. Black. <3 it.
The day I see that sad face will be a sad day indeed. |

Well, I'm going to take it to the apple store to confirm what I probably already know. Do I really need a Mac Genius to tell me?
Anyways, once I do that, I guess I'll sell this to anyone who wants it. I at least want to recuperate some part of my loss Also, giving the Xk idea is the wackiest idea I've seen. C'mon people, be more creative |

I'll take it. If its the hard drive I got a replacement in one of these drawers around here. |

I don't need no stinkin' iPod, I've got my PC thank you very much. That sucks though... I can sorta relate... my CD player busted a while ago, so I know a little bit of what it's like. |

I'd make it turn that frown upside down!
... But the whole face would be upside down too |

iPods suck. There are far better players out there. |

If they gave a larger discount for existing iPod users, like 25%, then I wouldn't mind. but I don't want to shell out another $270
I guess I'll go back to the CD player... *sigh* |

If you're interested in getting another iPod, you can bring it into an Apple store and they'll give you a discount. That's what I did when mine died and the warranty had expired. |

He'd find something to do with it, trust me.
Luckily, I still have a little less than 5 months to cash in should that image appear on my iPod. Is there at least a color version of it for the 5G's? |

On the iPod, if serious damage occurs to the hardware or the firmware, a Sad iPod appears, much in the same way as the Sad Mac.
From Wikipedia's Sad Mac article (in response to neotransotaku, not Sukasa). In other words, you brought it upon yourself, and you should dump your old iPod and get a new one. Hopefully, you'll take better care of that one. |

Take it to a circus?
Although... what does a sad/dead face mean? |
