irc.php wouldn't work right last night (it said 'Couldn't connect to server') but it works fine now.
Really, the only reason I tried installing mIRC in the first place is because I took Xk's first post seriously and was wary of clicking the link to irc.php (or viewing it at all, for that matter ). |

EDIT: Kamek, if you're having too many problems, try using irc.php. that's actually what I use  |

I can't connect to irc.esper.net at all. I don't know if it's my firewall or if something else is wrong.
Then again, I've never used irc before, so there's a good chance I'm doing something wrong. Edit: I guess it could be that I can't find the server; I'm trying to connect to "EsperNet" through "EsperNet: Random Server" (as it's listed in mIRC). If that's wrong, that could be the problem. |

I can't get either mIRC or Gaim to work properly. Both come up with "Unable to resolve server" errors.  |

There's active periods and dead periods. You're far more likely to find active periods during the evening but maybe there's been some shocking developments during the day. I wouldn't know.  |

Sometimes FF won't load java for me, but 90% of the time it does.
I have mIRC and I pop into the channel sometimes, but it isn't that talkitive. |

It's a great channel, it's too bad I work 2nd shift or I'd join more often (not that I have anything interesting to say....ever.... ), and when I do, it's like... midnight here in Indiana. I loved watching others chat all intelligently and have a good time. |

No, I masqueraded with a different username before. The only bad thing I did was some trolling on a channel full of overly-responsive idiots (I couldn't resist - it was too damn funny), and a little lag flooding, but that's it. It may be lifted now, but I'm too lazy to go and check. |
